Being that omega-6 are prone to oxidation, wouldn't that alone make them inflammatory? Seems putting all the blame on free radicals isn't entirely accurate.

@@thedrunkenfish5855 Any oil liquid at room temperature, I'd not be surprised at all, as they are high in unsaturated fats. Those high in polyunsaturated fats are likely oxidized before you use ever use them. The more I learn, it seems excessive Polyunsaturated fat consumption is likely one major cause our modern diseases. See publications & lectures by Dr. Chris Knobbe and Thomas Seyfried.

I cannot find a link, but you would draw a 14 C fatty acid. Star with C1, the carboxyl. Once you number to C5, start a cis double bond to C6. Then at C11, start a cis double bond to C12. Then finish at C14.
