I think the trim brakes were originally not supposed to be there, but Intamin found a fault in the ride. Hence the delayed opening, and the addition of the trim brakes. Just a theory though.

Awesomeness! The video footage from SW's Go Pro camera didn't record for us, haha! I think they turned it off when they thought it was turned on 😅 good thing we brought ours 😊 Swizey beat us getting the video up... he's going to get all the views, D'oh 😂 BTW you'll are my thumbnail 😁 I just had to 😅

The GoPro SWSA provided had issues with us as well ('SD Card Error' on display) luckily we all brought our own! We figured either of y'all would be the first to get footage out & we're fine with that! Sorry in advance if we cause your episode to tank due to our faces being in the thumbnail but...YOU did it! 🤣 Either way, thanks for including us and hope to see you again soon!

While it definitely lacks in theming and feels like a very bare and mildly boring ride outside of the 2 main features, it also looks like it is a great prototype to show what’s possible. Can’t wait to see what rides we can get with this ride technology.

Next time I visit the US I'm forgetting Disney, which has become way too expensive and WAY too hard and visiting smaller regional parks like this. Looks like no queues and the rides look so much fun!

@tulinfirenze1990 YES! Come on over! Here in the San Antonio area we have SeaWorld, Six Flags Fiesta Texas and ZDT's home to the world's ONLY wooden shuttle coaster, Switchback! There is so much to do here. You WON'T be disappointed! 😃

THANK YOU! Last time I visited - two years ago in Feb. 2022, I visited Texas fpr the first time and LOVED IT! I went to this place called Cracker Barrel and they even had a massive gift shop attached! I've never seen a restaurant with its own gift shop - like they say - everything is bigger and better in Texas! @@quirkycoastercouple

I saw the camera on your boat or whatever the vessel is in Spook's video. I thought it record y'all but it's a POV only. Hmmm. Well, cool y'all got to ride. I'll try to get down there for summer maybe. Too many things coming right now that I have to prepare for that it was bad timing for me that I couldn't come down there now. That thing looks like fun though, and another coaster credit, right?

The jury is still out on if it's a credit or not (we're leaning no) but fun nonetheless! There were issues with the GoPro SWSA provided but luckily we had ours! Can't wait til you get a chance to ride for yourself! 😃

Steepest of it’s kind? It’s a 53 degree drop. It’s TIED with Chiapas at Phantasialand which also has a 53 degree drop. Technically yes there isn’t a drop steeper but this isn’t the only one to do it :) Quite an interesting looking ride. The launch looks like a lot of fun. I love log-flumes with quirks.

I don't do drops but this one actually doesn't look that steep or high, so I don't know until I actually go and SEE it. Beautiful water though and I love the long and relaxing float to the lift!

The drop is extremely smooth & fun and you are CORRECT...the float to the lift is very serene! The float back to the station after the splashdown is relaxing as well! We hope you get to experience Catapult Falls sooner than later! 😊💦

I agree, I thought the same thing. But this is advertised as a log flume where as SWSD JtoA is marketed as a water coaster.. beyond me....

Yes, we agree. Infinity Falls at SWO also has a elevator lift as well however, Catapult Falls can currently lay claim to being the only elevator lift on a log flume in North America. We hope you get to ride Catapult Falls and experience it for yourself! 🙋🏼‍♀️🙋🏽‍♂️

@mitchellries256 we heard the rumors as well but, as you can see... it's OPEN & you're gonna wanna ride Catapult Falls! It was definitely worth the wait. We'll make sure the temperature is nice and toasty for your visit in June. Catapult Falls will feel oh so nice on a hot South Texas summer day! 😎

Looks like this ride is most likely gonna see alot of down time. Though The lift system is nothing new. I believe that launch is gonna experience the most problems. Only time will tell.

@four4446 absolutely not! The lift feels just like riding an elevator in any tall building but you're sitting in a log flume and once you get to the top, the view of SeaWorld San Antonio is incredible! 🤩 In regards to the slipping off part, these rides have SO MANY sensors and failsafe features which make the ride ULTRA safe, you have nothing to worry about! 😊
