Im from South Africa. Best way to make ostrich eggs are to scramble them and then fry in butter and bit of oil with parsley salt and pepper

The green on the egg means that it's overcooked. Like when you see a hard-boiled egg when you see like a grayish color around the yolk it means it's overcooked. Same thing with the ostrich egg.

Yes u allways wanna do scrambled egg if u are cooking ur first ostrich egg 😅. Also heavily season the egg but for ur first time...sunny side up is very brave lol. Love your content Zach. Look up when you get time Suwannee Wilderness Trail. Camping/canoeing/fishing and swimming along the Suwannee River along with beautiful crystal clear springs. Lots of cave diving in this area. Fly rod fishing for bream is quite good. .

I know the "eggy" flavor your talking about. A friend used to make this egg salad with 4 different styles of bird eggs. They were the drop off for rescued and rehabed birds being released into the wild. When i went we took a goose, a dozen ducks, and some phesants out to be released. Really good food.

This was okay and funny. The way the Kalahari people in the desert cook their ostrich eggs are on a bed of coals that is really hot coals from a fire but they poked a top hole into the egg which is just enough for about a small stick to get into and as they cook it they bring it out and they scramble it inside the egg with that small Branch they poked a hole in it with and then you can kind of break the egg back and drink it and eat it like a hard-boiled soft egg almost that's how you guys should have did this with the ostrich egg. Look up Les Stroud survivorman in the Kalahari desert and this is what he does with it and you will learn a lot more about it.

I make it in batches of 100-200 bulbs at a go. I wrap them in bph free plastic and tinfoil and heat them to 125°F for 5-6 weeks. I like to mix it with pecan oil or butter.
