You make some awesome videos! My dad and I would set some throw lines and tie them to a small branch, then go back and check them, I miss that now. Brings back good memories. they're not catching flats to good here, just not biting. Can't wait to see what you hook into next, tight lines! God Bless you! (Glen) WV.

We used to do the same thing with throw lines when I was little. Lots of fun and always good memories. Thanks for watching!

Is this a tributary of the Missouri River?
@fishstandard3 ай бұрын
Not directly, though the water does eventually make it there. This is two rivers removed from the Kansas, which is a tributary of the Missourri.

Walking the river is not trespassing in the state of Iowa. Not sure where you're at.

Located in Kansas. Only the Arkansas, Kansas, and Missouri rivers are open to public access in our state. Everywhere else is private property and landowner permission is required, whether on foot or boat. If you intend to be on both sides then permission is needed from landowners on both sides. I try to be as diligent as I can about securing proper permissions to access properties. Unfortunately, it is common for people to trespass in this manner in our area. Many are not aware that access is restricted, and others simply don’t care.

Same in Missouri although a lot of landowners try to keep you out of it. There’s a lot of gray area about being on the property on the river and where that boundary is and where it starts from. Although there is an easement on navigable waterways.

Dont you ever keep the fish?
@fishstandard4 ай бұрын
On a rare occasion I will keep a few smaller fish. I do usually release my catch, but I fully support others keeping theirs if that is their preference.
