Actually quick tip: with the shallow fishing for bluegill you catch the occasional big ones but if you use a drop shot rig with worms or crickets and troll at 20-30 ft deep you will catch bluegill big enough to eat a crappie. But this will start to be most effective in two or three weeks when they are off of beds
@HighAdventureVideos3 жыл бұрын
Thank you for the tip! I'll give this a try sometime!

Hey brother, love you vids. You should totally get a fish basket instead of the stringer. You can cut a pool floaty to put around the rim to keep it floating on the side of your kayak! Hope you like the idea!

About the dead bait fish: the difference between the living and the dead is a matter of a proportion of surface area to volume. In the tray you had a large surface area compared to the volume of water. Lots of capacity for gas exchange on the surface. Your bucket, on the other hand, had very much less surface area compared to the volume of water. Not enough diffusion of gases at the surface means reduced oxygen available for the fish. Another variable: the number of fish in the container using up the oxygen.

I prefer the metal stringers. Specially for catfish, never had a problem. If you catch one that barely fits on one clip alone you can feed one of the clips through the gills and out the mouth then connect one clip to another clip, or the chain itself for extra security.

Off doesnt work for biting flies. But heres a hack. If you do get bit by bugs while camping, use makeup remover wipes on the area where you have bites. it will pull the toxins out of your skin and will sooth the itch. I found that out when camping on my colorado property where I dont have running water. so soap and water wasnt going to work. but I as a woman, I had makeup remover wipes and it was near instant relief! Hope it helps.
