My 4 year old son found your channel and searching his past history of your videos has got me hooked. Just subscribed. Afraid of him fishing now cause he’s still to young and can’t even swim yet. Love your videos, keep up the good work.

Hey nice Vid.. I use these as bait to catch big fish... but I thought I can only catch them as night (i shine a bright on them and they do not move... i get close and grab them with my hand before they move. Now i have a daytime way to catch these. Thanks alot

What type of string? thread or nylon.. Can i use a 2 lbs test line?
@keikifishingadventures8086 жыл бұрын
We use a strong sewing thread. If I was using fishing line maybe 8 to 10 pounds. It will handle better, when it rubs against the rocks.

Mahalo for sharing your expertise. You’re a good teacher! My dad used to prepare these crabs raw. So so good! I think he used kukui nut and hawaiian salt, discarded the shell and gills mixed it all up and let it sit in fridge for a day or two before eating. I should have paid more attention. Can you tell me if this is correct way to prepare raw? I want try and catch some with your ancient hawaiian technique so I will subscribe and wait for your instructional video so I can make the pole. Aloha and mahalo!

great video, thank you! And could you share with us how Hawaiian cook this crab?
@keikifishingadventures8086 жыл бұрын
Most Hawaiians will eat the crabs raw. Usually served at parties as an appetizer. We will make a catch and cook with these crabs coming soon.

Keiki Fishing Adventures thank you, really want to learn how you prepare and cook these crabs. By the way this weekend I will try to catch them by your way :)

That wouldn't work. Crabs run from things that move

behind the eye? wtf
@masonyan70295 жыл бұрын
how
@keikifishingadventures8085 жыл бұрын
You want to place the string underneath the eye that is furthest from you so that when the crab closes his eye it just traps himself. Hope this helps.
