there was this cycle i ended with a pearl on the floor of my shelter that had a downward pipe and it kept falling so i had to grab it before the door opened or exit the game and restart the cycle eventually i just swallowed it and started a new cycle because i kept having to re-swallow it and take a rock out of my stomach

Upward spear throws do reduced damage, enough to hit a slugcat and not kill it. Furthermore, the spear fell back, implying it had lost velocity and therefore completely harmless. In conclusion, this means survivor got overly jacked.
