I use these kayaking and they work well on spooky reds. The dark grey 1/4 Johnson spoon works well also, quiet entry does not spook the reds while working it.

I throw the Finesse TRD all year! No joke... all of my PB's have been caught on the Finesse TRD on a 3/16 oz finesse football jighead. #coppertreuse

Thanks for the setup, I was fishing in the Stuart Area yesterday and was having a tough day until I improvised and ned rigged half a bass senko in the absence of the TRD baits. I ordered a good supply when I got home. Thanks for the videos and taking the time to explain and share your tactics for success. Ended up catching double digit snook and plenty of other fish.

I also like the hula stickz… the tiny little fingers look real shrimpy to me. Caught some pretty nice snook on them too.

Do you still mess around with the BFS reel? Would love to see another video on it if so!
@kevinlynch679911 ай бұрын
Love BFS. Best day: 166 smallmouth bass in four hours with a 1/10 oz. Z-Man Bullethead jig on a Freshwater stream. Used the Z-Man TRD BugZ 2.75” and TRD. Went through two BugZ as the claws would be bitten off but really, smallmouth bass didn’t care! All on a Shimano Aldebaran with 12lb. test Berkeley Nano-fil (white as I am a line watcher), 8’ of 8lb. Sniper fluorocarbon leader & a 7’ medium action baitcasting rod. I dare not use in saltwater as I would cry if I ruined this reel. Be well.

I also really like to cut down the trout trick to a more finesse size. It works wonders. My pb flounder 25inches was caught on a fried chicken trout trick cut in half on a 1/4oz texas eye jig

That works 👏🏼

Dang Ca see ya got a daiwa new announcement coming soon ? Please don't leave Shimano. Daiwas frames flex so bad if it's the lt models. Their aluminum reels a great though. But Shimano still smokes everything they have Lil jons are great but zman has so many options to match that type of profile. JerkshadZ, spike , trd and even the slim swimz. I've tried the trd so many times , rigged it so many different ways and worked it different ways never had much luck besides trout lol. I do however love the 2.5" slim swimz. And the slow roll with a pause like you suggested in this video works absolutely amazing.

You always have great input my friend… and I’ve found it helpful. I am not going to Daiwa or any other reel brand. Just spreading the information and product reviews over a larger spectrum now since most now know I am no longer with Shimano.

Another great detailed video, how long have you been doing the step down flourocarbon long leader? I have been doing the 20lb braid with 25-30 lb only 18” of flourocarbon. Will this new line set up improve my odds? Thanks again.

Ive said this many times, i WANT to use finesse tackle but for me it seems like the conditions have to be just right. If its grassy, or windy or choppy i have a very hard time using them.

Try using them with the EWG tackle Zman has for dealing with grass

I use the modified Albright for line to leader and then a common blood knot for my bite tippet connection

Not going to phrase this Question perfectly but: Do saltwater fish (tarpon, snook, redfish…) “inhale” the bait anywhere as much as freshwater bass? Virtually all of my saltwater experience indicates most saltwater fish “bite” but I am curious if there is any “inhaling” going on as well. That said, I do know a jig and a shrimp or cutbait fished on the bottom will catch darn near everything in saltwater.
@bayouburner28111 ай бұрын
Sure they do, their mouths are just different.
@flatsclasscharters11 ай бұрын
Most saltwater fish do what you insinuated… they bite. But snook definitely have the bass take down in my opinion
