Lowkey hate how common Gamefreak made shiny pokemon in the new games, completely removes to prestige and accomplishment you feel actually getting one. Even doubling the odds in Gen 6 was a kick to the balls. Thankfully I kept all mine in White 2 as I'd feel so robbed if they were in Home 💀.

The John Michael cup returns! This cup is probably my favorite Pokemon content ever with both of their chemistry together and their hilarious conversations. As a person who watched Mikey's playthrough of Scarlet, I was able to recognize the Clodsire one. Also I am a fan of how Mikey says Veluza.

I heard the Gothorita Dex entry and thought instantly of Gothitelle, because one of its other Dex entries talks about it using float stones to mark the positions of the stars. (It could have been Gothorita’s entry, but I’m pretty sure the float stones was Gothitelle.) Congrats to PM7 for winning this first match and I’m excited to see what comes next in the John-Michael Cup Season 2!

Gothitelle's dex entries talk more about how it can see the future. The stargazing fixation and use of stones to track their movements has been more a Gothorita thing specifically.

I can't believe I was actually able to know a few of these this time. I just completed the pokedex in violet so that is most definitely the reason why, but it is still cool. Some like fletchling and sandaconda I recognized the dex entry but didn't remember what pokemon had it, but I did immediately recognize two and the pokemon with them. One was misdreavus because I was in the union circle with my brother who has scarlet so that we could get the version exclusives so I also immediately recognized it was version exclusive, but I remembered the dex entry because I thought it was funny that the scarlet entry talked about how it is evil while the violet one just said it likes to mess with people and pull their hair. The other I immediately got was gothorita's because I just thought it was super cool when I read it. The thought of coming across rocks in the formation of constellations on the floor because of a gothorita is so cool.

IKT? I mean I found a LOT more than 4 shinies in my life, being a shiny hunter... but legitimate, random encounter shinies? I found 5 in 20 years, and 1 one of them was with the shiny charm. I found 2 (Poochyena and Venonat) in games where odds were 1/8192, and 2 (Staravia and White Floette) in games where odds were 1/4096. And then I got a shiny Jangmo-o with the Shiny Charm in Pokemon Moon.
