I was actually referring to the easy capture of the legendary pokemon without any effort. Using gamesharks/cheats for the reasons you mentioned would be legit, but using cheats for things like instant capture or overpowered pokemon just takes out the real fun from the game. The last time I caught mewtwo with a hyper ball, that feeling was indescribable

Sadly, Celebi is a pokemon that can only be found in an event which is already long over. The only way of getting celebi now is to use cheats in order to trigger the encounter with Celebi, you can however, catch it without using cheats after you've managed to encounter the pokemon

If you put in the wrong code (E.G. A code for a different game) then it can have severe consequenses, your game my stop working, your GBA or DS may stop working, so you have to make sure you do the code exactly but apart from that no, codesharks do not mess them up

without game sharks, you can always use various glitches... although, mew, starting in generation 4 (or 3?) will be flagged so that even if it's hacked, it may not obey you.

The pokemon like Lugia, Mew, Deoxys, etc. are all actually possible to get without hacks if you have attended a Nintendo Event where you give your game in and they add the quest to it.

to capture deoxys you need that moon shaped pokemon and the sun shaped pokemon... then you go to a city with a strange rock with a girl staring at it then you talk to the rock while having the 2 pokemons in your party... then you go to that deoxys place

i know this isnt a real playthrough. but the main reason why and how i know this isnt real is because deoxys is entered into the pokedex in his speed form and not normal form, which is the form you find him in and if you catch him it will be entered into the pokedex as normal form deoxys

I don't see any problem with cheating to get the items necessary to activate an event (if the event is performed somewhat normally). I'm an enormous fan of glitching to get otherwise unattainable Pokemon as an alternative to cheating for them (the Mew glitch, tweaking for Shaymin, etc) as it often proves to be MORE difficult than fighting/finding a legendary that is already part of the main plot. I agree though, the 'find any Pokemon', 'instant shiny', and 'easy warp' type codes totally suck.

Of course it's some sort of hack. He's going through a poke-center to get to the islands and stuff. However, it is possible to catch one with a great ball. You can even catch one with a pokeball. It's just a very low chance of it working

i remember when i was catching ryakuza(spelling) i spent all my money on ultra balls and when i finally caught. I always used it. Cheats take this away you dont feel like you acomplished anything. So I only used them to get to islands. When i comes to catching pokemon i just use a ultra ball or a great. Warping is helpful I dont know anyone with pokemon so getting a ticket is hard.

you can get the GameShark Cartbridge or get a GBA Transferer and transfer your haxed savegames to your gba

@MultiYounglink I'm gonna answer you, but I don't want you to subscribe my channel :3 Anyway, there aren't many differences between one version and another one, the main difference is that you can't find some species in a game that you could find in another one, forcing players to cooperate in order to complete the Pokedex. (For example, in Pokemon Heart Gold you can find Domphan, but you can't find Ursaring. In Soul Silver it's the other way round.)

Using a gameshark/cheats is the only way to actually GET some of these legendaries(Deoxys, Lugia, Ect) as most of them require tickets to be accessed that we're distributed during Nintendo Events that are no longer being held.
