Nothing more realistic than a surprise rain in the sunshine while fishing, but, it is what is is, thanks for sharing that awesome panfish fishing session.

Ah the Sunshine state rain 10 minutes enough to drench you than the sun comes out that looks like a awesome pond no doubt dull of panfish. Great video ..

Fish don't like to get wet.😆 That surprise shower was awesome. As long as the bite is on, really enjoy fishing in the rain sometimes. I'm loving the St Croix Panfish Series rod so much. Might be my favorite rod I own right now. Every time I watch your videos, I'm ready to hit the water again! Some real rod benders in that spot.

Glad you are liking that rod. It's a solid one. Haven't had a chance to check out your video on it yet, but I'm looking forward to it.

A suggestion: For your ultra lite fishing you should check out some of the i_fish tackle BG-1 jig heads. Super sharp and smaller hooks. They've helped me to catch a lot more fish over the past few months that I've been using them. I've tried all weights and hook sizes, but now I use three weights (1g, 1.25g, and 1.5g). and mostly the #12 hook size (Anisoptera, LarvaZ, small craw imitations, Trout Magnets and much more) and with larger girth micro plastics, the #10's. (Charlie Brewer 1" swim grubs, small minnow imitations like the 2" Keitech Easy Shiners). The new 1.5 with the #8 hooks are good for some of the Zman baits like the TicklerZ and Shad FryZ.

Thanks. I've used his jigheads and they're great. I haven't had a chance to order the 1.5g with size 8 hooks yet. Didn't know those existed. You're right though, they would probably be good with the ZMan lures. The other ones have been just a bit too small in my opinion.

These bluegill ultra light sessions have been a great watch! Random question though, is there a genetic/ visual difference in Florida Largies and the ones further north?
@TheFishingNomadАй бұрын
Yes there is. They are two different species. See the paper at the following link: www.nature.com/articles/s41598-022-11743-2
