I am kinda new to fly fishing and I was wondering how to keep your dry flies floating because they float for a little bit but then they sink

^^^ I use a floatant it works well, false casting is also a good way to dry your flies in a hurry also making sure they’re dead drifting and there isn’t much tension is a good way to keep em floating

Use floatant like gink, and then on the water use dry shake once they sink! Don’t apply gink again while they’re wet.

I have lived in the valley my entire life (over 60 years) and fished every part of the Boise. I question that this is the Boise River. I looks like southern Idaho, but I have never seen any part of the Boise River that looks like this. It's possible that it is a stretch that I've not seen, but it doesn't make sense from the width and the surrounding scenery. I would be fine with him not revealing the location. Too many of our rivers around here are getting too much publicity.
