I caught one of the coolest fish of my life last week while fishing on my lunch break. I caught a black Alligator/Long Nose Gar hybrid was probably a 40 pound fish. I was bass fishing when I saw him cruising shallow so I quick swapped out my crank bait for a 3/0 jack hammer hook I baited with a couple minnows and dropped them in his face. Was an epic fight

Hard to believe that greenie didn't call a big ol' flathead to himself. That eater is about the size of the one I pulled out of the Apalachicola river last week-a river that doesn't have any in it I'm told by the ol' timers. Caught the bullhead it ate and flathead both while standing on my freshly mown grass. Forgot how much I liked freshwater fishing since moving to Florida 4 years ago. Now to watch your year old "ultimate fall catfish bait" vid I somehow skipped catching up on your vids-glad yt suggested it.

Spencer when your floating these rivers and see the dirt wall banks keep a eye out for like burnt rock layers that looks out of place in the walls. I have found many sticking out of banks. They can be 3-4' deep under dirt especially sandstone that looks like turned red from fire cooked. When you do look really close for arrowheads and tools. Just a fyi. Another thing is man please be careful! I watched your lake Texoma video in kayak and I closed one eye just to watch! Been on that lake 100's times and man it really gets dangerous white capping even in in a boat!
@RiverCertified Жыл бұрын
I'll definitely keep an eye out man. That would be cool to see. As far as TextMate goes, even when it looks like I'm way out there, I'm never more than a couple hundred yards off the bank and always wear a pdf. I appreciate the concern man.

Creek Chubs, flathead candy! Haha, it's true though! Well along with green sunfish, bullheads and about any hybrids of two different sunfishes, you know what I mean? I used to have a hole of water where I'd catch nice bait, they were half bluegill and half green sunfish, or at least that's what they looked like, whatever they were, they were great bait! Oh I even caught some that looked like half bluegill and half longear sunfish, they had a lot of orange on and around their bellies and the top part of them had the regular bluegill pattern. Anywho, good deal fellars, good deal! 👍👍🤘✌️🍻
