A friend and I was fishing the Gallatin TN steam plant last winter. We had 2 big live skipjack on for stripers. He was casting for more skipjack when his bait got eaten. While he was trying to get his skipjack pole in , a Skippy hit his jig. So he set that pole down. While he was fighting the striper I see his skipjack, that's still hooked on the skipjack pole, swim up to the top of the water beside the boat. Then a 25 pound striper ate the skipjack and almost pulled the pole out of the boat. I'll never forget that. The most awesome fishing visual you could imagine.

I love your channel I love the fact that you use big hooks big baits for big fish I've tried fishing with numerous buddies and they don't fish like me and I don't like putting on a babysitting service I fish out of a kayak until I find a place where I can Porsche make a camp and I use baits anywhere from Palm size perch to three and a half 4 lb suckers and I do extremely well on the Guadalupe River be just North of San Antonio Texas and my favorite fish to catch is flatheads and your channel has taught me so much my six five six seven hot hooks weren't cutting it and I really need to use your two hook rig and I can probably catch some that would be 60s and 70s pretty much every weekend but I love your channel I'm still chasing the giant my biggest is 86 and no I didn't land it got it to the boat and it ended up the paper a couple weeks later where kid out of town 30 minutes from us caught it and it was my fish but no problem but still chasing Giants have fun and I will watch every video you post thank you
@jimrichards21712 жыл бұрын
Man, Spencer, just love your channel! Being an old Iowa ex-pat river rat living in Minnesota, you won't believe the river catfish disrespect I hear from these lake walleye obsessed bozos up here. If I feel the need for walleye, I'll head down to a Mississippi channel dam. I also think I recognize some of my old haunts on the DM & mighty Coon rivers. Takes me back to flathead fishing with my uncle John. Ah, the smell of stinkbait in the morning! Keep up the good work!
