Catching Blue Crabs: Ring Traps and Chicken Legs

Blue Crabs. In this video, I'll be crabbing in West Ashley, Charleston, South Carolina using two-ring crab traps rigged with pyramid weights and baited with chicken legs. It's March 14 and the crabbing was steady all day. After crabbing for about 3 hours, I ended up with quite a few nice blue crabs.

What Bridge are you finishing from? Most the bridges we fish from are so busy you can’t do it anymore. Also if you put traps down near Charleston Marina there is still a few good places that can catch crabs. But they are not as good as they use to be. I loved in Charleston for 40years and it seems to be getting worse every day crabbing
