Love love love these types of videos. I wish I saw this video before I went out and bought a bunch of traps and supplies. Now I need to know where all the water holes are here in North Carolina so I can try this stuff out. I also have a feeling I've missed the time of year to catch the critters. It would be great if you included some cook and eat after your catch. Thanks for sharing and I look forward to more of your videos like this.

Thank you for the kind words, and good luck trapping crayfish! I'm not familiar with what's available in NC, but I'm fairly certain crayfish can be found all across the US, so I'm hopeful you'll be able to find some good spots for trapping. As for cleaning and cooking crayfish, here's a video I made that may help: kzbin.info/www/bejne/iKuYg6homZuDb8k

Washington as of June 6, 2024 requires a fish or shellfish license for crayfish so good point about laws changing.

Ah, thanks, I wasn't aware of the change for the WA regulations (I'm in OR). But I heard from another viewer that it's likely that in the near future our crayfish laws will be changing to be more like those in WA. I guess we'll see....
