Catching Dinner from 'the Poles' (catch, clean, cook)

Ahoy legends, this week I set out in search of some fish for the table. I started out way offshore but end up catching dinner from the poles!
My plan was to target mackerel and wahoo, but when they didn't bite I headed back into the bay to find some school mackerel. I had to work hard for them but was rewarded with a lovely feed of fish and managed to get the boat dirty enough to showcase the Salty Captain Boat and 4wd Kit.

They are great fillet chunked, sweet, sweet/salt brine and smoked then made into a spread, fish patty recipe...a couple of bits with a good pint, honestly not bad.

Nice video Sammy, I'm sure a lot of people would have learned something from it along with the entertainment value. One suggestion, for small fish like that I use a gaff made out of a broken graphite golf shaft (driver) that you can get from just about any golf club pro shop golf and a cheap (ebay) stainless straight shank shark hook. A 12/0-14/0 works well, I use mine mostly for fish up to about 15kg but have mouth gaffed much larger fish and since I started using them 20 years ago I have never broken one. They are so light it is simple to gaff every fish in the back of the head or mouth gaff any fish you want to release. Most people that fish with me go home and make their own after using one.
