Ivo, another informative video . . I can attest to these little lures, slammed them on Canadaigua lake two weeks ago using the same lure. Definitely in the weedy area on the edge of 11-13' of water in slower sections. Keep the videos coming and awesome lures, can't wait for first ice to try them out pan fish in'!

How did you find the perch down there?
@EbonKim8 жыл бұрын
Either with a fish finder, or just knowing where they're at. I fish most of the time at Walden Pond where they stock Rainbow and Brook trout. The bigger yellow perch and smaller trout (14" - 16") hang out at the same areas near the bottom at 35 feet of water where there's vegetation. The smaller yellow perch hang out in the shallower end. In ponds and smaller lakes, they stay in the same location year after year.

where did you say the smaller yellow perch hang out? your last comment was cut off.

In this area, the current was a bit "slack" and there were some weeds as well, and between the 2, they were holding perch :) When fishing a river, if you can find "slack" areas or any back currents, or current breaks, good chance they may have some perch there :)

Thanks! That's the kind of info I was looking for.

Hi ivo are you using a fish finder to locate these perch?
@thundermistlures7 жыл бұрын
Hi CJ - in this case, we are not using a fish finder as it is not very deep....when we wish deep water (such as 50 feet deep on lake Erie) then we use the fish finder to help locate the perch :)

Hi Ivo its Jose Poblano again i live in southeast Florida and i just had a question about salt water fishing.I love to catch Mangrove and Yellow tail snapper and what type of lures or baits do u think r the best to use for both fish and what type of hooks and would the Porgy Rig work for both.And what type of baits do u recommend for both types of snapper.Thank u again and keep up the great videos and i love watching them everyday and im addicted to watching them thanks again.Tight lines
@thundermistlures7 жыл бұрын
HI Jose.....the rig#3A will work great for snapper, and the 4A for the larger snapper...squid, shrimp, and cut bait strips all work great on both types of snapper....you can also jig for them as well

Hello Ivo,question could the small stingnose spoons also be used for casting for perch? ,a lot of my perch fishing I am casting to catch perch and always had great success when casting,I usually do not have much success if just jigging from the side of the boat as I am usually fishing in water levels between 6 to 12 feet..

"Thundermist Lures", what is the difference between "Ancient Tilapia" and Tilapia living today, l caught one that had dark red eyes with deep green scales and thought it was some kind of new rock bass species and I'm confused to tell the difference
@thundermistlures8 жыл бұрын
That's an interesting question and interesting fish you caught....not sure what the differences would be?

Were these perch holding to a drop off? Do they hold to the same structure year round or do they like to change depths often depending upon the water temperature? I love the video, very cool.
@thundermistlures7 жыл бұрын
Those perch were on a break, where the water drops from 10 - 18 feet - in this area, they will be at that location most of the year but may go deeper as winter approaches :)
