Catching PIKE In ULTRA SHALLOW Water (Aland Islands!)

Today I am fishing in the Aland Islands for Pike and Perch. I got to take out a boat and a=test my skills on foreign soil!

Nice video! There are not many lakes in Åland. It's the archipelago, it's the sea but more inland, hard to explain. Check it out! So it's not lakes that are connected to the sea. I have understood this is hard for many foreigners to understand. Really like your videos!

yeah i also think european perch are larger, they can reach up to 6.5-7lbs they are pretty rare but a more common size is 1-2 lbs

There lots of really big pike on åland, you should get a tour with someone who knows the waters. Good video btw👍

Yeah I just lost a 40in like today… I was in my kayak and didn’t have a net. Using a mepps #5 in line spinner. Fought it for like 30min and had no choice but to try to pull it up in the kayak as it was going to snap my rod, kept having to loosen the drag and give it some line. Wouldn’t quit fighting. Lost it as I lifted it up into the kayak 😩. Going back out tomorrow in a boat.. the water is super shallow here too. Maybe 10 feet max and heavy vegetation, lily pads, grass, you name it. The big pike seem to be slamming anything rn
