We throw 20 lb braid here in Matagorda, but we tie a 6' 20lb Fluorocarbon leader. Will eliminate those break offs, and act as a "forgiveness" buffer.

Another awesome video. I try fishing like you with the paddle tail with 3/8 jug head. Same color. But for the life of me I can’t catch fish doing that. I catch using shrimp in the same hole. So I don’t get it. I want to learn that so bad. I’ll keep trying though. I try fast, I try slow. Enjoyed your cook also. That looked awesome
