I fell off that wall onto barnacles. Didn’t realize they were razor sharp.

Yikes! Bet that was rough!
@WesLovelace4 жыл бұрын
During the winter months Convicts are all over the structure here especially docks and pilings.....They feed on barnacles and small crabs around the structure....When you fish from a boat the access to these tasty critters is unlimited and they can get to be very large. The lone fish was a pinfish.....Reel nasty Dorsal Fins....but great bait and good to eat!!
@WaterandIceOutdoors4 жыл бұрын
Wes Lovelace Yep! You’re definitely right on the pinfish. Realized the mistake after posting. Boy the sheepshead are fun though! Great fight. Thanks for stopping in Wes!

@WaterandIceOutdoors2 жыл бұрын
Any bridges that you can cast to the pilings or any pinch point you can find in canals or bays. Live shrimp, or paddletail swimbaits will catch fish. Good luck!

Good stuff. My dad lives in Clearwater so I've fished that area as well. I've gone through a lot of shrimp too! Caught a stingray last time I was there..

What rod and reel is that?
@WaterandIceOutdoors4 жыл бұрын
The rod is a Fiblink Medium action, 4 piece travel rod and the reel is a Pfleuger Summit. Really impressed with the rod. For $50 it was really sensitive and breaks down into 4 pieces and comes with a travel bag also.
