Gavin is well known for his role as Jeffrey Harrington on the Oprah Winfrey Network primetime television soap opera, The Haves and the Have Nots. He has appeared in the prime time hit series, Roswell: New Mexico, Shameless, NCIS:LA, Grey’s Anatomy and Without a Trace to Name a Few. Gavin also played Grammy Award-winner Babyface in the Lifetime movie Toni Braxton: Unbreak My Heart.

I will admit, I missed him as Remy (my first job after graduating, I believe) but I have seen him on Have & Have Nots-outstanding actor and interesting interviewee! I particularly like the discussion about Black actors on soaps and GL in particular. The most prominent Black family or character, imo was Gilly Grant , her family and The Speaks family. They were well written and fleshed out and even had homes sets, if I recall. At times, there I get the Boudreau family and the Grant family mixed up, in my mind. Weren’t both fathers Chief of Staff at Cedars? Never having Victoria and her brother vie for control of Spaulding Enterprise was a mistake too. There were families already built in to the history of the show. Great discussion.

I hardly remember Gavin from GL as Remy I remember Lawrence St Victor in that role. I have to go back and check out the classic episodes to restore my memory. I know Gavin's work from Tyler Perry's the Have's and Have Nots. Great to see this interview. Miss the actors from that show including Peter Parros who played his dad in that show. Peter played Dr. Ben on ATWT.
