Vaughn , ask Mr Jones if Depeche will release their past work in Dolby Atmos as most bands are doing that including U2 ! I assume if they are he would be alerted about it !

Good question but I doubt that Gareth would know the answer to this question. VG :-)

Great interview, thanks again for sharing. I'm wondering if you could make this a re-ocurring theme with interviews of various artists/producers and get their input on A.I. and the music industry.

Hi Vaughn, Adam here (new handle) first off great video, thanks for sharing this interview with us. Always great to see Gareth and that he is healthy. One thing though I will disagree with his spiritual take on AI with the whole "acceptance" thing. While it probably does reduce internal anger and anxiety, "acceptance" leads to complacency and change doesn't come about from complacency. Imagine if Israel just lied back and "accepted" the attacks (not to get political, but the first idea that came to mind). I believe in fighting the good fight, and while he does make a point that there is no getting rid of it, I still personally am more like you and believe in ranting about it. I feel those voices need to be heard otherwise the acceptance just becomes the only voice. To add, just because synthesizers were looked down upon in the 70s is not a fair argument, just because it was not true for that doesn't mean it is NOT true for AI. AI is getting into songwriting where synths really did not.

Great interview…yet could you filter out the microphone ground-hum-noise background ?
@VaughnGeorgeКүн бұрын
@@autecheee yes I am very sorry about that ! The primary microphone failed and the backup mic that was connected to the camera had a picked up some really bad humming. I filtered off as much as I could but I guess it is still audible if you're using high quality speakers. A school boy error which I will not make again in future. VG 😎🎹

@@VaughnGeorge On the SonicTalk show on Nick Batt's SonicState channel, someone named Steve Hillier is often a guest. I wonder if he is related to Ben Hillier. The last name isn't that common. Maybe you can get in touch with Ben through Steve.
