Magnum needs to be inducted into the HOF, with Tully doing the induction. That would be beyond awesome.

they were gonna give the world title to Magnum TA, there was a plan for within the next 2 weeks(didnt know accident was gonna happen) to feud with Ric Flair and win the belt and hold it for a while.

I think his title run went to Ronnie Garvin after the accident.
@119Agent6 жыл бұрын
I thought so too until I looked at the dates. Garvin beat Flair almost a year after TA's accident and only held the title for a couple months before losing it back to Flair who held it for another year. I expected Nikita Kolof to replace TA briefly as he was pretty over right away once he turned face.

Hi Bill this is Brian from Massachusetts. I want to start out by saying bill I am a big fan of you your work and your show. I have to agree with you Magnum TA is one of the most awesome nicest kindest and one of the best athletes in professional wrestling.... I really think if it wasn't for that car accident that he would still be in professional wrestling today or at least coming back once in awhile like Jake Roberts Etc to the WWE for a match here and there or for an appearance. I'm a very big fan of Magnum TA I really think he shares Bret Hart's shoes with he's the best there is the best there was and the best there ever will be I think he shares that title cuz he is definitely the greatest I think....

Bill Apter if Magnum never got in the crash where do you think he would have got to in the world of wrestling? I think a WWF and WCW World Champion.
@syphonfilter83729 жыл бұрын
+Tobey Starburst Certainly a WCW Champ. I have no doubt we would've seen a helluva Magnum/Flair feud. Possibly WWF champ if Vince could steal him away. Chances are: A WWF Magnum run might have cut short a Macho Man face run. Unless Magnum could pull out a great heel, that would be too many top baby faces. I could've seen a Macho/Magnum feud and I could see it going over well.......of course only if Vince didn't do something stupid and turn him into a fool gimmick or something.

@tvtitlechampion32385 жыл бұрын
I'd like to think so, too. Maybe Vince wouldn't have the stranglehold he gleefully enjoys today.
@jonathanturbide22325 жыл бұрын
@@tvtitlechampion3238 As great and cool as David and Magnum were, none of them could have stopped Vince's invasion of the territories and subsequent domination of the business. Particularly not Magnum, since by late 86 the WWF was getting bigger and bigger every month. No one could have stopped it. If a true star and wrestling machine like Flair couldn't stop it, no one could. David and Magnum were awesome, but they weren't on Flair's level in the ring and from a marketable point of view, none of them could have single-handedly saved the NWA.
@tvtitlechampion32385 жыл бұрын
@@jonathanturbide2232 yeah, know what you're saying is true, but I like thinking about it in terms of "what if?". David stays alive, maybe the other von Erich dominoes don't fall. Though Flair is as you say, the fans need a break from the same old-same old, and Flair was getting there in the late 80's. If Magnum spells him, who knows what other talents get developed. But a lot more has to go right: the NWA/WCW management has to get a lot smarter, more cooperative with each other, and identify Vince as the common enemy. Vince just rolled 'em because he was so singular and ruthless, and they were so fractured. I feel like there was an outside chance they could've at least fought to a draw. That would be a better look for pro grapplin' today, perhaps. Maybe the AEW will provide the competition that Vince so badly needs to improve his product.
