Women like that are absolutely crazy, but they hate being told it. They're the framework for the stereotypical heterosexual marriage where the man constantly lies to the woman to please her. The men are supposed to wait on them hand and foot, provide them with the money, the gifts, whatever, and they give nothing in return. Toxic relationships, basically. No relationship that one-sided can ever last. Eventually the guy's going to ask why he puts up with such a high-maintenance woman who doesn't actually give a shit about him or even want to spend time with him.

I haven’t seen the “The Real” video but what I gathered from the clips in Dylan’s video was that these women are actually being driven crazy by internalized sexism. To me this is actually more interesting. “I feel crazy because I no longer to fit into my skinny jeans and my whole sense of self worth comes from my body image” is more fascinating to me personally because it’s a little more nuanced than pointing at a shitty man being shitty and saying wow that man is shitty. The way that women are forced to fit a particular image and be entertaining and pretty and smile and constantly perform can be maddening, no?
@peachlily62523 жыл бұрын
@@jacksmclaughlin29 I get that. Watching the clips it felt to me that they were just saying that minor inconveniences lead them to acting "crazy", but I never really thought about it in that light. I think it would have been interesting if they elaborated more on internalized misogyny and their experiences with it because, again, I didn't really pick up on that. On the other hand, I think the conversation would be much deeper than "men are shitty" because they could delve into the fact that the media perpetuates this idea to men that women shouldn't reject you and if they do they are "crazy." Just my thoughts but I get where you're coming from.

@Ren A marriage does not work without both people giving up certain things in order for the marriage to work. Its not even about sacrificing for the other person but so that the marriage can stay strong. For instance, in order to have a stable income one of the partners has to work. In order to raise balanced children one of the parents should probably stay home to make sure they get the attention they need. It doesn't necessarily have to be the husband or wife but just one of them. And shouldn't you sacrifice for the person you love the most, who you loved before you had kids? After all you literally exchanged vows so really who should you sacrifice for if not the person you promised to love and honor until death do you part?

So Dylan probably isn't aware but the clip about prenups and protecting your finances in regards to Jeannie's situation, isn't the first mention of Jeannie's divorce, that announcement was extremely amicable and cast her ex in a positive light. This clip was filmed around the time Jeannie learned that Freddy, her ex, was cheating on her before they separated and that he was expecting a baby six months after their divorce announcement; the girlfriend was 4 months pregnant and hanging around during the marriage. Not having children and allowing Jeannie to pursue her career was a big point of stress in their marriage because her husband lied saying he was okay with it but "changed his mind" years into it. And instead of breaking up right then and there, this lead to Freddy continuously bringing it up on the show, was pressuring her behind closed doors, and him resenting the fact that she didn't want to be a stay at home wife and raise their children. Jeannie was a victim of childhood sexual abuse and her family (specifically her mom) didn't believe her, which lead to lots of problems and her running away at 16. Jeannie supported herself and didn't reconnect with her mother for 8 years. All of this made her apprehensive about having biological children and Jeannie was very firm before getting married about not having kids. With that background information, it makes sense that Jeannie's gonna be regretful about not protecting herself and her finances when her ex creates an insta-family right after they divorce, she's paid him alimony, later found out about his infidelity, and put up with him being emotionally abusive and manipulative (in terms of having kids).
@vlo48293 жыл бұрын
Jeannie was NOT firm. Even on the show, Jeannie was not firm and she admitted that things she said things that gave her husband and mom hope that she was thinking about having a kid. You obviously believe everything Jeannie says about what happened, but it's just as easy to say that she strung him along for years because she was getting her way. He was VERY clear about his desire to have kids. She was ALWAYS wishy-washy. If either of them were "manipulative and abusive", it was Jeannie. Personally, I don't believe Jeannie's side of the story is completely true. Even in an interview when Jeannie was trying to insinuate that Freddie cheated, Loni's reaction suggested Jeannie was being dishonest... She's very calculating. She's said it and shown it. She used her platform to mold public opinion in her favor, but that doesn't make her innocent nor does it make her a victim.
@jra39783 жыл бұрын
@@vlo4829 I disagree because she did say they talked about it early on and she said she didnt want kids. He was the one who changed his mind. What else is she supposed to do when he's wanting to have kids and she still loves him? Naturally you try to find it in you to compromise or try to make it work, I dont think she was stringing him along. They were just trying to make it work. He got ahead of himself anyway by getting his "friend" pregnant, and confiding intimate details about their marriage to her. He could have also been assertive about it if he was 100% sure and she was the one being wishy washy. At the end of the day only they know what happened, but he is in the wrong for cheating and his new wife was also being disrespectful to jeannie.
@vlo48293 жыл бұрын
@@jra3978 Jeannie says she had a conversation, but we don't know how it really went. The ways in which she talks about it even on The Real, there were times when she sounded like she wasn't so solidly against it. Like I said, she admitted herself on the show that sometimes she said things that gave her mom AND husband hope that she was "coming around". That doesn't happen to people who are clear and firm. and why would Freddie cut if off if he thought she was about to change her mind? That wouldn't make sense. I agree that Freddie should have left first, but divorces can take a lot longer than people think. Jeannie and Freddie likely broke off their relationship before he got with the other girl, so Jeannie pretending he "cheated" when they had both already moved on (she had her new boyfriend rather fast, too) is dishonest. Plus ,in an episode where they talked about cheating, Jeannie said she was okay with her partner getting some as long as she didn't SEE it, so by her own standards, he never cheated. Jeannie isn't a trustworthy source. I used to think Tamar was wrong for how she treated Jeannie, but as I watched the show, it made me think maybe Tamar just saw who she really was and acted accordingly...
@genesisferreira60343 жыл бұрын
I don’t think somebody changing their mind and wanting to have children makes them a villain and vice versa. I do agree that cheating on your wife is not the solution to the problem. It is never okay to cheat because you want different things, that’s when you sit down and hash it out and decide if the relationship is worth being in. Now, it’s true that nobody knows what really happened and both or either of them could be lying to make themselves look like the good guy in the relationship. I personally don’t believe anything that they say in this show or many others because celebrities tend to lie about a lot of shit for publicity. Everybody feels bad for her having to pay alimony but honestly, she’s a rich woman who’s part of a relatively popular show, I think she’ll survive.

True and women do have A LOT of emotions, which means if gone wild can definitely make them do crazy things, and unfortunately if you do one crazy thing you're gonna be labeled crazy for the rest of your life.
@Kameab12133 жыл бұрын
Well I can at least say that I know one woman no scratch that two women who were born crazy. One woman had her ex-boyfriend put in jail for life for attacking her daughter then laughed to me about how she had him put in jail falsely. That's an indication of one crazy woman that I know of. That enjoys punishing her ex for leaving her by sending him to jail forever. The other woman who was born crazy was my very sister who abused me my entire adult life and kept me down under her thumb if I ever spoke out against her will. I did not even get to a point where I was allowed to have a life until I was 38 and it took her calling the police on me and me talking to them to get away from her. Now my experience with women, be it tiny in comparison to other people, is extremely dark. So if I generally tell you to calm down if you're getting a little rowdy, it's because I'm afraid of you not because I want to dominate you.

Labeling never gets results, people gotta communicate things more maturely that don’t involve name-calling. I’m guessing the man has to be the one to start the mature communication since these women want an excuse for why they’re acting the way they do. So he gotta make her see for herself that the way she’s acting ain’t the way to go.

...It’s only been a few seconds since it’d been uploaded. I’ll be back for my thoughts! 😂😂 ~~~I’m back!~~ I agree with a lot of what Dylan is saying. Especially about how these women/spouses view both their marriage and husbands. It’s incredibly toxic and it sounds like they need both Dylan-therapy and normal marriage therapy. Because they were raised in an environment where prenups and divorces are normal, because they were in a sense-raised with a silver spoon in their mouth. And people are gonna want to also have that stupid spoon in their mouth. So protecting yourself is key, but also ya know-don’t view your SO other as a piggy bank. 😂👍👍👍 Love the video, Dylan!

Honestly i feel as though they are telling their younger viewers that toxic relationships are okay when in reality they aren't . They should be preaching about healthy realationships because that toxic stuff isn't it at all . Getting money cus you "put up " with someone for multiple years seems like a gold digger type of thing .
