Years ago, a neighbor boy of mine got his license at 16 and was coming home from school. A steel mill nearby was getting out of work and I happened to be coming down the road right behind the kid. The guys from the factory had a stop sign, but they never stopped at it. They always blew through that stop sign out of the parking lot heading home and didn’t care when this kid stopped at his stop sign and then started to go thinking like most people would it was his right to go. This guy followed him down the road in front of our apartments and pulled a gun on the 16-year-old kid I happened to be pulling in right behind him when I realized what was happening I got out and started yelling at the guy, he hurried up and took off. It was ridiculous. I’ll never forget that experience why somebody would get so mad that they had to stop at a stop sign which they should have been doing in the first place leaving from work and willing to pull a gun on a 16-year-old driver. Totally unbelievable.

You just never know who you're dealing with and they can also have a freedom stick. Best to meet up with a law enforcement officer somewhere and let them deal with the dummy.

Blessings on you that you were able to avoid an accident. The thought of a car accident scares me. My brother with his family on a country road got t-boned. It killed him but a blessing the family wasn’t hurt too bad. My husband also got t-boned a guy pulled out of a Walmart back drive and hit him. My husband broke some ribs, ankle hurt and bruised up, was hospitalized. We had just made the last payment on our car 😢, and the guy didn’t have a lick of insurance. He lied to the police officer. He got away with it. We had to start all over again with car payments.

Interesting the different tinting laws around the world. It’s illegal in my province of Canada to have heavy tinting on the front side windows of a vehicle. How scary it must’ve been for your friend having a carload of kids and dealing with that jerk behind her.

I Pray every night for the safety of my family, my Grandaughter just got a car, she worked, saved for it. But people are in a big hurry, and speeding is rampant, recently a girl tapped someones bumper, by accident, the guy got out of his car, body slammed the girl, she ended up in the hospital. A young lady I worked with had someone following her, fortunately she pulled into the parking lot where the police station was. Then called 911 and an officer came out and waited with her until they were sure the people had left. I always advise young adults especially in rural areas to call 911 so someone knows what is going on.

I'd say the cold weather has something to do with the lower egg production. It's warmed back up in NE Florida to 69° today and supposed to be in the 70s tomorrow. My chickens didn't slow down much, but they are back up to 10 to 12 eggs or more daily. It's pretty good since I only have about 17 layers.

When I was driving home one evening from college I had a car following me like that. When I got to the next town I went straight to the police station and laid on the horn. The car following me was stupid enough to pull in crosswalk behind me so I couldn't back up. Police came out and a squad car happened to drive in. The car took off but the police saw what was happening and followed it. They caught the guy and he was up to no good. Drove the last 20 miles home just shaking. Didn't drive at night for a long time after that. That was in 1974, no cell phones!!

Similar incident happened to my family just before Christmas. They got rearended on the freeway. Grandchildren and everyone in their vehicle were injured. Was frightening and uncalled for. The person who hit them was cited for wreckless driving and trying to leave the scene.

Luckily there wasn’t anybody in the lane next to you Gary it certainly could have been a nasty accident , you had good reflexes at the time. Road rage is everywhere at least we don’t have the worry of firearms (even though there are probably some illegal weapons around here) but so many people take offence to little infractions and they are the ones that usually cause it.

Seeing your chickens this morning reminds me if you could keep Cockadoodle Farm😅 from Illinois in your prayers .They have a farm that raises chickens and vegetables for egg and vegetable home delivery in a town over from me their chickens were infected by avain flu so they can't sell chicken or eggs until after March I believe❤.
