like your quiver. that Whomper is cute, and sounds effective, especially with marginal summer surf in Santa Barbara. The rest look fun, too. Now, gotta watch you describe them. And your Wedge video is Ah-mazing!

I am a 14 year old intermediate/beginner surfer that lives in Perth and looking for a new board I already have a 6,6 soft top and I want to know what board to get next??

Good options would be 5'6" Skipper, 5'5" Lost RNF or event the Stump for something a bit smaller and a bit more maneuverable.

Wew! Hey my 11yo son is super hyped to learn how to surf after finding Ben, Jamie and Casey's channels this winter. I've never surfed either but we both are gonna learn this summer! What would be a good board for us to learn on? We live on Long Island in NY so small surf most of the time, we head down to Jersey sometimes too. I'm 5'10" 200 lbs. and he's around 4'6" 75 lbs.
@CatchSurfOfficial2 жыл бұрын
That' rad! Definitely go with the 8' Odysea LOG, it's easy to learn on for both you and your son and they are always the work horse of any quiver!

I grew up surfing in Long Island lol. You should check out Robert Moses field 2 or 5 for a good beginner break and then check out the Hamptons when you feel more capable

I thought soft tops wwre just for beginners. Why would an experienced surfer use a beginers board like that? Are there some performance advantages or is this just marketing. Im going tyo try the 5.5/5.6 tomorrow as a rental. Nice video!
@duckdiver55494 ай бұрын
Catch Surf boards are half the cost of hard but twice the fun. And they catch waves way easier than any comparable sized hard board. Even pros like to rip more than just a shortboard. For example the LOG can catch waves super easy and can really hold a steep face as well and is super fast. And if charging big waves, is much better to wipe out with vs. a hard sharp board. I love riding the smaller (Twig and 5'5" RNF) Catch Surf boards because in average waves you can rip and get a lot of speed vs. my hard shortboard.
