I love this game and am so glad to see everyone like it. When I bought it, I literally stood in the game store holding Cryo and this in my hand for 20 minutes… decided to buy Cryo, went to my car, changed my mind, and went back in and swapped the two. So glad I did, it is in my top 5 games!

The Catchupalooza's are great, I heard Chris make a comment that videos' on older games don't get that many views and that a shame. I really like learning about the older games and not always about the cult of the new. I always watch these video and liked the old segment that you used to do with Timm Metiviier " Delay of game" With the cost increase in new games I am always looking for older games that you can buy on the used market for a lot cheaper than new games/Kickstarter that often don't live up tot he hype.

This is a criminally underrated game. I have it based on Tom's original review and every game I have played has been a blast. Do yourselves a favor and try it out.

One of my favorite games and a great series on the Dice Tower. Looking forward to Camilla catching up on 2 of my other favorites: Raiders of the North Sea and Architects of the West Kingdom.

Love this game. Played it a lot at first with 2/3 players. Then when I played it with 4 it just felt like it flooded so fast.

I would love to try this at some stage. I have been tempted to buy it a few times but decided against it as I already own many mid weight euros and don't know if this one would get pulled out often enough. Hope to try it so I can discover if it is indeed a game that I would pull out over others often enough to warrant buying it

BTW - There IS a game which does the 'worker placement puzzly and spacially crafting of new places', but it's a far far lesser game, which may be nice only for families with like kids of 6-10 who wouldn't mind the issues of it and smaller game - and that's 'Little Town'. I vaguely remember another game where I said it's like those two, but forgot... so maybe no.

Whistle Mountain... I think the Title is misleading. I would have called it something like 'Airships & Architects'. I liked the game enough to buy it as a gift. It has enough complexity for gamers but I think many will pass on it from reading the title. It needs some explanation and convincing. Glad to see you are doing that.

The points as stars make sense as it turns the game into a point salad where you don’t know exactly how far behind you are. Hence you stay engage in the game. Yes, those super Mario stars are weird but they do serve a purpose a point track would not

Don’t agree with “… a point track would not”. In BGG there is a point track I always use instead of the stars.

Yes but then you actively know you are 60 points behind with no way to catch up because your engine ain’t as good as the one of your opponent. Therefore engagement might drop throughout the game as “why bother, I won’t be able to catch up”

The point scoring in this game I don't believe is hidden information. So the only difference is if the player cares enough about their comparative score to other players to do the math for themselves. :D Good thing there are end of game victory points available. ".....so you're saying there's a chance"

I must be in the minority. We played this 3 times at two players and just fell flat every time. Maybe its just not great at 2?

Wife and I really like this game a lot. Is on our 10x10 this year and have played it 6 times already. Agree the victory stars are dumb. We are always having to make change.

I didn't care for this one. It's a mish mash of mechanisms with no theme. I don't see the appeal.
