Great knowledge. This raises a question, does a ChemE know the mechanical/civil/electrical/software engineering parts that are specific to the chemical plant? Or are other engineering disciplines still necessary?

For sure, you need all of them... the Civil will most likely focus in structure and building, software into programming or so, mechanical into more mechanical/machinery, electrical will focus into electric installations and more... chemE should focus mostly into process control
