Love the colour, and didn't know until watching this video that the bodywork is Aluminium, apart from the wheel arches (i think) most other kit manufactures use fibreglass for all the bodywork. Beautiful car and also expensive. If only i had a garage and the bank account to go with it i would for sure love you build one. Built a Tiger back in 2004 - 2005.

I know when the kit arrived, I went on holiday for 3 weeks and all I wanted to was to come home and start building. Yes it been a good learning experience but very time consuming.

@@thecaterhamcave I had one of the very first Elise over here, about 15 years ago, when Lotus introduced them to the USA with the 2ZZGE engine. Was a blast to drive, and tourists would approach me all the time, 'what an odd looking car, where did you rent it?'. Got so tired of explaining that number one, I own it, and, number two, It's not a kit car, that I finally started telling folks that I rented it at Budget, HOWEVER, they only have them at the the Budget at the west Maui airport, and it's first come basis only. Suspect I'll spend some time in purgatory for that. But it was worth it.................. Aloha from the Deep End

Just found your channel. I am just ordering my 360 kit (bit of a wait time for us Canadian hopefuls!). I appreciated your leaving in the personal learning bits. One thing I missed was when you taped up a line inside the engine compartment along the lower frame section. I wondered what product you used and if it was sprayed or brushed on and can you see it once it dries? Thanks also for highlighting what's NOT in the book. Cheers!

It's called Dinitrol and the one I used dries dark brown almost black but you can get a clear version. www.dinitroldirect.com

Hi Thomas, I will takes some measurements for you over the weekend, I don't know the weight but two of us carried it into the garage so I wouldn't say more than 130 KG's

No, I didn't purchase them from Caterham in the end as I wanted to apply the paint protection film first. There will be an eposide on this coming up.

Yes, it's the 620 nose. It's an optional extra when placing your order.

Hi Mark, yes they do all the wiring, dash, brake lines and they fit all the aluminum panels.

I noticed you have the 620 dashboard on your car. Can you just option that from the factory? If so, how much did it cost. I already put my deposit in on a 420R but haven't done final spec yet. Also how much was the CF interior panel upgrade? Thanks!

Yes the 620 dash and the CF interior panels are all additional options you can order straight from the factory. You should have been given the 270-310-360-420-Price-Specification form to select your options, these options are towards the end with the prices. I can't seem to find this form on their website anymore so may need to request it from them.

Yes it the same chassis for LH & RH, the steering rack, dash, and pedal box are the only difference.

Is it possible to change from LHD to RHD?

You can order them in LHD, but if you looking at converting a RHD to LHD you'll need a new dash and steering rack. The alternator needs to be moved to the exhaust side too and the pedal box will need to be replaced as they are sided. So it can be done without too much effort.
