Mom sold it to some guy over seas. Just like you said. Had the original engine's in it. Me and my Nephew pulled all the old fuel out of it. re-primed it. That ol girl fired right up just like it ran yesterday. The cab engine was a little harder but we got it. Another grate video Warren. I sure love watching your video's. Thanks again bud.

Hi Warren, Stumbled upon your channel and am hooked , I am also a truck tractor mechanic although now retired, after an apprenticeship with a Massey Ferguson plant dealership in the sixties I went on to work for Shell /BP on road tankers and worked for myself from 1988 for 12 years and spending my last 10 years teaching Heavy vehicle technology in a college. I see you work,, I see myself,, and all the moans and groans same as you. Your method of working mirrors mine and would have loved to have met up for a while to swap stories and experiences. you struggle as I did and often ran out of cash on my own projects I agree often a customer is a good friend until he gets his bill . I wish you all the best in what you do and thank-you for the hours of interest you give. In my opinion you work to a high standard and are a very knowledgeable mechanic I wish you all the very best in your career. You are a top mechanic and should be proud of what you do. May you make your million....Dave W.

If I was doing this type of road service repairs (I a retired diesel mechanic now), I would invest is a small pressure cleaner (1500 psi, electric, with a 20 gallon water tank). It is so much nicer to work on these old engines if you can clean them up a little first. For example, look at some of the pressure cleaners that are factory installed in the Class A motor coaches. All you need is a small compartment to mount it and about 50 feet of pressure hose on a reel (you could carry a couple of plastic 5-gallon cans for the water). Good luck. Love your videos.

@garymucher95904 жыл бұрын
I certainly applaud you and what you do. My OCD would have to clean that entire engine compartment before I could reassembly it back. And you are very correct. Even with most any engine system anymore, the computers have to be reset and such to get things working again. And therefore it makes it extremely hard for the average wrench turner to work on their own equipment as well. And trying to keep up with the yearly (some times monthly) changes isn't suited for the typical wrench turner these days... Thumbs Up!

Went to replace the oil pressure sending unit because it wasnt working and I was putting a universal gauge in since the OEM gauge was questionable on my 1980 f350. I knew I had a oil leak and assumed it was the rear seal. Wrong, it was the sensor leaking where the 2 halves came together. That engine gets about 30psi at idle in gear. I was surprised. Now I just have to replace most of the exhaust pipe because someone reduced the exhaust to 2¼ inch when its supposed to be no less than 2½ inches preferably 3 inch exhaust. Such fun.

Is there a Part 3 where it’s all done, installed and running please? Be good to know if there is. Otherwise, no biggie. I know how busy you are. Who ever worked on it before had a mix of bolts.....I went to the dealer and bolt the correct bolts, they were about $4.35 each which I did not think was bad. A mechanic told me there were only two kinds of 3208's/3204's, ones that had been repaired and ones that needed repair.
