Finally the D9H/594H cold start. This is a 1977 Cat D9H Pipelayer with a 24ft boom and hydraulic counterweight at the Edmonton Ritchie Bros sale in October 2013,

The operator should be commended. He carefully started that engine and slowly allowed it to run on all 6 cylinders.

I have worked on the same 594h but it had a ``cabin``and joystics for the boom and counterweight. What a joy was to operate it ! its was really fast an powerful beast ! i always said that i would like to operate this size bulldozer...

The scars on the booms tell you it's well used. Probably a 'lipstick and rouge' refresh so it'll sell. Sounds pretty good though.

ahhk okay thanks

It's a pipelayer. Used for craning in large sections of pipe on big jobs. Usually they work together with multiple units.

Lol.. it's not even cold there, buddy is in his jeans and no gloves. Try that up here in Canada minus 30c black smoke pouring out running on two cylinders for a minute or two..

This video is in Canada. Alberta to be exact. I'm in jeans with no gloves because I'm Canadian.

why bulldozers in the u.s.a and canada do not have a cabin ???
@Theonetwo4811 жыл бұрын
Because abdominal snowmen operate them and they don't need the luxury of a cab
@TowWyo11 жыл бұрын
Because it's a 1977 D9H... Cabs weren't exactly standard equipment back then.
@ramawson11 жыл бұрын
Austin Gratzer Unless you were in the UK and bought a bulldozer from levertons, i work at it, well its now called finnings but levertons used to hand build cabs for their bulldozers due to uk weather conditions
@vantagetes11 жыл бұрын
ramawson AKA a bunch of whiny cry babies, obviously Canadian men are a tougher breed as this beast is still used frequently and doesn't require a cab. Just battery powered nut warmer to keep from freezing to the seat. We aren't being entirely serious of course.
@ramawson11 жыл бұрын
vantagetes at the end of the day if it sells them it dont matter XD literaly thats only reason levertons made them was so uk operators wouldnt complain, sadly the cabs were made of fiberglass n would crack n split after doing so much as driving across the yard

If this "operator" turned the Heat start switch back to "heat" while the engine starts to run on its own, the misfiring cylinders will start to fire. I would spank any operator who didn't know this, I certainly wouldn't speed up the engine this soon.
