I drive one of these at work and his v isn’t right. He didn’t stage up the truck so that he can go straight into the pile, he’s not getting his bucket as straight into the pile as it should be, plus he has a dozer pushing off for him, we dig double benches and it’s completely packed in still, but we don’t have teeth on our buckets we have cutting edges. He’s not doing a bad job though, they are surprisingly easy to operate once you have about 40 hrs of seat time, and get over the fact you are driving something as big as a 2 story house

Good Loader operator. We have one of these at work as well as a 2K. 2K is Way faster but the 3 will out dig the 2 any day especially in tough digging. That is a High lift boom on that one as it has the extra hole in the lift arms above the torque tube hole. Thanks PA for posting and keep up the good work.

@@s.espi.1618 no not quite, he doesn't empty his bucket first, SECOND, he only crowdes the right side of his bucket, bad angles of digging, only reason as fast is because of a dozer pushing to him. And YES, I do this for a living.

Seasoned operator. Not taking anything away from the operator, but for the size of these machines, I think people would be shocked at how simple they are to run. The hard part is not digging into the ground and keeping it flat, as well as getting the most into the bucket as possible with as little spillage as possible. That's where this operator is impressive. Very smooth and precise.
@nonickname99306 жыл бұрын
First, this operator is good, nothing wrong with what he’s doing. Second, his trucks are exactly where he wants them. Third, if he wasn’t efficient, he wouldn’t be working. Forth and last, he’s operating, while all of you fault finders are sitting in front of a computer screen instead of in a machine.

A good operator . I notice he`s never just going through a single motion at one time , always turning / lifting/move forward/dumping retracting bucket back as he`s reversing = quick cycle times . May not look like it but the machine is going through 3 different movements at once . Kept his clearances to a minimum but didn`t touch the truck . When you do something as repetitive as loading trucks you should be good , & he is .
@dukenukembubblegum73113 жыл бұрын
Plus these loader have auto life set points, and bucket lower set points. So as soon as you back out of the pile you pull the lift lever all the way back til it clicks and it goes right to a set point, and once you dump, and back up the same thing click it forward and it lowers to where you set it about 12 above the ground. Very fun to drive though all joysticks, no steering wheel. You are right though, once you do it for a couple weeks it becomes second nature, you’re doing it without even thinking

Couldn't watch this video long. I ran 992D, 992G, 993K and a few different 994 loaders. His cycle time is terrible, never a full bucket even with a dozer keeping the material loose, the first hauler didn't get under the loader right, most of his load was on the right side of the bucket which puts more weight on the rear of the haulers, which is the shallower part of the bed and causes the front end to get light if they have to haul up hill, lots of loose rocks laying which could cut a tire. He never done a cleanup pass on his way back to the shot. Hes working himself into a hole causing longer travel times. Work the shot from left to right so the truck is backing in somewhat of a hole and stays closer to the shot, then the loader isn't digging himself in a hole. That wouldn't fly where I worked. He would been off the loader.

Question, It seems like he should have the trucks on the right hand side, that way he's lined up to the face and can get an evenly full bucket while applying maximum traction forward rather than partially turned at the time the bucket is actually in the material, I'm sure there's a reason they are doing it this way I can't see from the video.

A rope shovel would be quicker but sometimes speed isn't everything. Here the company wanted versatility which a loader offers. With multiple pits, a loader can move around and strip one while another is in waiting for a blast, etc.

The guy is smooth, however he keeps loading up the right side of the bucket and he hasn’t got the machine straight when digging putting immense pressure on the steering rams, if he kicked the dumper on an angle to the pile that would enable him to straighten himself out, then he would be really good👍👍
@Gavin84w6 жыл бұрын
I wonder if there is a reason he doesnt want the LHS of the bucket full, reduced spillage out that side perhaps, open your mind people!!
