Something to think about. Have you ever considered adding an air coupler to your air system somewhere in the front of the bus that would be in a convenient (lol) location. In the shop when air pressure gets low in the bus shop air could come to your rescue. An added benefit would allow a tow truck to easily connect to release your air brakes.

Funny there is one up there with a little built in compressor for just that… just didn’t connect the old brain to doing that…

There is a way to pressure wash the undercarriage. They make a right angle swivel for your nozzle on the gun and they also make a bar with holes in it (for tips) and wheels on each end that you hook your wand to. Then you can wheel it back and forth from the side of the bus and not spray yourself with crap. The right angle tip can be a workout as you are fighting the backpressure which is a surprising amount. Very doable but you will feel it when you are done. Nice to knock of the dirt several times a year and keep ahead of it. Never could figure out the theory espoused by several creators that they like to leave them dirty to tell where the leaks are coming from. You can see a leak at its inception when the engine and chassis are clean whereas when it is two inches deep in grime you will see a huge area with no idea where it actually started. Your work also stays cleaner when you start from a clean plate. Then there is pride in your ownership of clean equipment.

PS: With a vertical filter like you have I much prefer the cup style oil filter wrench as it lets you loosen and hold the filter bringing it straight down out of the clutter before having to switch grips on it possibly spilling. One cup for each size of filter as it fits like a socket wrench.

My 05 Eagle has an emergency air fill near the generator slide switch. Pretty sure it’s for filling the air system from . I use it to fill tires , never had to fill that way. For me, if the bus has been sitting and I was going to pull the pan, don’t start it. Just drain otherwise it drips in your face for days.. 🫥👍. Love your bus videos… Time to do all my windows💰💰

Yeah the roads are waaaaaay tighter over there for sure! I lived in Barrow for a couple years when I was stationed at Lakenheath, the bus would be almost useless over there.

Hey Senior your old Coastie buddy here. Been away dealing with life. You know how that goes. So basically your motor home is a CAT diesel dump truck with a sleeper cab. I'm beginning to wonder if your retirement MOS was ARSMS, An*l Retentive Senior Master Sargent. Dude it's a diesel truck. 5 minutes after you clean it it's gonna be dirty. And please, for your mental health, DON'T look at the color of the oil an hour after you changed it. Cleanliness is close to godliness except with diesels. Don't mind me just picking at the enlisted corps. Glad you have your bus and it gets you from here to there in comfort. Steady on and smooth sailing!

Not sure if you are aware of his KZbin channel, but there is a tech who goes by “Adept Ape” that work’s almost entirely on Cats. He’s very interesting to watch diagnose problems and he shows a lot of tips and identifies known engine issues. It’s a great channel. I can identify with your motorhome frustrations, I spent almost the entire summer chasing an air leak in my Tiffin.

HI HO if ya bus has airbags and they leak down may i suggest you find a fitting on your main(first from your compressor) air tank and have a ball tape/gas rated then fit a quick fit air coupling that you can connect your workshop compressor and refill your air tanks or raise bus and put jack stands under chassis food for thought other than gum lol

Ok sorry for the delay, I keep the receipts in the bus… elbow outlet PN 2812210, Tube Assembly PN 2773003, seal O ring PN 5P7530, Gasket PN 1950452, pump PN 20R6478 (Have Cat verify all the part numbers but that’s what’s on my paperwork)
