Our family farms in Illinois,Cats headquarters is in Peoria Illinois. We bought a D4 in 1953,and farmed with it for years,it had a blade on front, and the arms could pivot, and pull a four shank ripper in back.By the time I came along we used John Deere wheeled tractors, whose headquarters are in Moline Illinois.Even the D4 could move alot of dirt, and knock down trees with seeming ease. One of my cousins fixed it up,and repainted it a few years ago,it now is enjoying a well deserved retirement. Its nice to see that people around the world can benefit from the tremendous things that Cat equipment can do. Thanks

We’ve got a d8 in the shed but hasn’t moved since we got the rubber track, had one of those macvoy mole ploughs as well but not for long as the wheels are too close together. And would try and tip over if one leg wouldn’t come out.

Twin leg mole takes some pulling. Full length beam adds a shot load of friction. 235hp D8 is doing well to pull it.

A very hard ground that makes the D8 suffer because the two rippers do not seem very deep for 235 hp.... Very beautifull Cat D8

I'm guessing if it was easy to pull them the job didn't need working..I used to mole with a single leg and a little tm 105. That had to work hard on some land. Great vid 😊

Looks like a 36 or next model, but she is awful weak, back in the day with a root plow 30ty to 36 inches deep and the plow covered the tracks about 2 feet, it looks before cable k... but the 8's I was around way back in the day would really put up black clouds.
