You know, I'll bet all those improperly folded fold-over locks that made your eye twitch are what caused your retina to detach.

Glad to see that you are starting to do what you like to do. Baby steps and all of a sudden you're at full power . When I had my 2 brain surgeries 8 years apart I had to do baby steps. When I was in the air force I had a patch over my right eye and I would walk 5 miles aright the smell of the trees was a lot stronger and apart 4 blocks away sounded like it was right behind me. When you had a patch did your other sense become alot more sharper? Really happy to see you up and about. Denis from Santa Rosa CA.

I can't wait rd6 I love it I got all excited when you sad it was going to be the next project. Thank you so much for what you do Toby I can listen to you and watch you scrape crusty dirt and grease for as long as you want to talk and scrape. Did you see the bird on the ground when you were poring the oil in the right final drive it was rite under you.

What a beautiful day to be outside. The RD6's green, orange and yellow paint job is camouflage to match the fall leaves. Great to see you getting better. That narrow gauge plowing in your field will be a great day. Three cylinders of torque monster power carving up the sod. That will be a sound that sticks in your ears.

Thanks for taking us along - That is an incredibly beautiful place no matter what time of year it is. My favorite time of year in Colorado was winter time - It would get below zero and I'd go outside at 4:30 or 5 on a cold, clear, dead-calm morning and I could see the ice crystals floating in the air in the porch light. Back then I was a real polar bear and I loved it.

Is that tool to open the RD-6 final drive oil fill plugs an original CAT OEM tool, or is it a very nice Squatch after market? The Dark-eyed Junco appeared to approve of the filling operation. I can’t tell how many views that this has had on Wednesday afternoon, but at least 119 people, myself included, are pleased as punch to learn the RD-6 backstory and mechanical details while watching Toby scrape old grease off of an injection pump on a crisp fall day. I wonder if the YT algorithm is going to recommend other grease scraping videos in my feed?

Hahaha. I’ll knock that rust out of there and add used oil. You insinuated a minimal effort. Instead, you return with a perfectly clean bowl and NO rust inside whatsoever. I would bet you couldn’t half do a job if someone paid you double to leave it half done.

I have a 1947 Chevrolet Fleetmaster with a paint job that is pretty much on par with your RD-6, except that it has a LOT of rust, including some holes. A lot of the front suspension components were covered with hardened grease and dust much like your RD-6, and I cleaned up the parts I had to work on. I enjoy driving it around anyway.... I think the RD-6 is my favorite Cat.

Not gonna lie. When my Willy’s truck had to sit outside, I took a big can of WD-40 with the fog nozzle and covered everything including the paint. Even though it was under a tarp. A little oil or something similar really helps prevent rust.

I live in a constant state of restricted jealousy of your place. I grew up on a large property and am currently stuck in a crappy subdivision. I miss the space, privacy, leaves in the fall, the sound of wind through the trees and most importantly.......room for tractors. Being the neighbor with small tractors is fun, but it doesn't replace having the space and the things to do with them. I end up joyriding more than working with them. At least I can live vicariously through the Tube. You're not allowed to stop making videos. Its law now 😂😂
