Having her arms crossed like that and still allowing him to hold her; she is literally putting all of her trust into this man. Very very vulnerable time for her. Keep up the work, dad. So awesome.

In my opinion, I think it was the energy of having her siblings there. Siblings can have very different relationships than others, and I believe that in this particular case it might have been more comfortable to have just the father and mother in the direct viscinity of this moment. I think she was having very complex emotions she couldn't identify and process but it all lead to embarrassment at the time.

@VVoOꟻF well we all know DNA is the best way to prove that a person is related. My point is very simple you don't have to be related to someone in order to love them. If you're so willing to look at only the negative. Then why respond in the first place?

Beautiful way to ask a father of love, to adopt children not of his blood. But in affection close to the heart. It seems he is more a Dad to them, than biological fathers can be to their own-children, in sad situations. - That is something to treasure, value and APPRECIATE. - I just hope those girls are mature enough, and can see clearly-enough _how grateful they should be:_ for embrace of a Father who cares for and loves them! And obviously a dear mother. Creative and thoughtful way to honor him, by asking that he adopt them!

C'mon men, step up to the task. The joys and rewards are unfathomable. Better than money, fame, popularity, anything else you can think of. I can even forgive this guy for being a Giants fan! That all sounds great until you marry my mother. Just when we've fallen in love with you and you falling in love with us, she rips all of our hearts out. And kicks you to the curb without a tear or a care. After two incredibly loving and caring men are ripped out of your life by a woman who simply got bored and wanted to move on. I loved my stepfather's like they were my father. Knowing the dark side however I'm not sure I could be a stepfather.

This seems oddly one sided. Women are no more inclined to raise someone elses child than men are. The wicked stepmother trope became a thing for a reason. So, when do we start condescendingly telling women to "step up"?
