#3 Jasmine/Nicole might be the one catfish I completely empathize with. Before any of this started, she probably grew up feeling undesirable and inadequate. Her anxiety could easily sabotage any chances she had in real life, creating her own self-fulfilling prophecy. She probably created the fake profile because she was so convinced that no one would want to talk to her. Unlike other catfishes, it seemed like she really tried to come clean, but her anxiety paralyzed her from taking that very last step. When they met up, Nicole was such a wreck. The only moment she was confident about anything was when she said that he wouldn’t want to look at someone like her. Also unlike other catfishes, her apology was remorse over what she did. Other catfishes may apologize, but they also add reasons why it’s not completely their fault, it’s not really a big deal, etc.
