I would so love to catch a hybrid sometime when in your neck of the woods. We've got striped bass but no white bass on the east coast. Surprising that crappie can be used for bait!? You must have a ton of them in the midwest.

I only ever use J/ bait hooks for pretty much every fish that I fish for unless I'm fishing for bass then I use an EWG, I also try to stick with owner hooks.

Just took the family out river fishing in the Ohio River for some big flatheads. Had a clicker start screams after a few taps and thought it was game on... caught my biggest hybrid striped bass ever instead lol still wish it had whiskers

Hey Spencer. Cool video as always. Someone commented about mushrooms. Seeing how much you like to cook (and eat lol), do you have Morels in Iowa? "Dry land fish" in Tennessee, tastes kinda like fish. Research them if you're not already taking advantage of them. Pretty hard to beat walleye (or crappie) and some deep fried Morels.

I fish in SW Michigan (LP), and it seems no matter what spot or what river I fish, live and cut bait get hit by Northerns before Cats. I catch maybe 1 Cat per 3 or 4 Northerns, any advice on how to get more Cats and less Northerns?

That seems like a tough one. Northerns are voracious and very active predators. Are you talking about flatheads or channels?
