I've used worms to catch bait my whole life but lately I started using a Trout Magnet with pretty good luck. I'm not constantly rebaiting my hook and find that different colors work better under certain sky conditions. It's been a trial and error process for me but have to say that I prefer a trout magnet most of the time. Crappie Nibbles work well most of the time too. I don't have worms growing and breeding in my garage floor like you do and they are a lot more expensive than they used to be. I also don't have high standards like you do and will take any kind of perch, whether it be a Green Sunfish or a Bluegill. They're all the same to me. Maybe one day I'll have high standards but right now they're pretty low. I'm just happy that Labor Day is coming up and most of the pleasure boaters will be done until the Spring!

Can't catch 'em all if ya don't catch 'em small! I don't mind using bluegills and green sunfish as bait, but I can't bring myself to use orangespotted, northern, longear, or redbreast sunfish. They're too pretty! If you're interested, I'd recommend looking into raising your own red wiggler/earthworm culture. It's super easy to do, low-maintenance, and cheap. I know serious fishkeeping hobbyists who raise earthworms to feed their fish and for compost.

I think anytime one is attempting to channel Josh, one must begin by properly saying "Hello" and offer an earnest greeting to the spilling way, your bait, the clouds and the greenies, bullheads and bluegills at the beginning of the video. Then, even though you are fishing for bait, you must regard each fish as you unhook it and state that you're throwing it back because it's either, too small, too big, too pretty, too raggedy, was hooked badly, was barely hooked at all or is the first one of the day, the last one of the day, the wrong species, the right species but it fought bravely (or poorly) or you've never caught one in that spot before or you've caught many there before but this time you caught it on the wrong bait , wrong rod or you have the wrong bait bucket with you at the moment or state that your are keeping it, but your are just going to take it home and eat it! :-D I work nights from home and I look forward during my lulls at work to seeing vids from you, Josh and a few others. I get a real kick out of the different approaches each of you take to your love of fishing on any given day and I find it entertaining and educational beyond belief. The videos you two have made together are among my very favorites. Thanks for another great video!
