From what I've seen, most of the big themes that PGR has, are used for: the start up screen during the theme's first section, story sections or the first phase of the story boss for the second section, and the last section of the song usually is reserved for the final phase of the boss, or the boss itself if it has only 1 phase

Wow, its been 1 year and no one talked about this song's story in the comments? Well, here goes nothing SPOILER for Echo Aria and Di Fantasia story alongside Selena Interludes + Affection Story First of all, the name of the song, this song is HEAVILY based on a German Poem of the same name, a story about 2 People who never met each other but deeply loved one another, however when they do met together, they ended up killing each other, a tragedy story that sadly.... is the story of Selena Selena at first is who you can consider lucky, born in a rich family, and managed to live in Babylonia, a Space Colony where in the world of PGR is having a fight to save Earth from the World Ending event that is Punishing Virus Her dream is to be an artist, and shes actually VERY talented that she even managed to recover and even played a lost Golden Age Theater Play named "The Tempest" Before she finished The Tempest however, she wanted to do a tradition from Pre-Golden Age, that is making Penpals by sending letters because even tho she is rich, she has no friends, of course the Letter has no destination but it eventually found its way to..... the main character Gray Raven Commandant who was still in Military School at the time Curious, the young commandant read the letter and find that the letter is from someone nicknamed "Iris" and she doesnt care if someone reply although it will be apreciated, she only care if said letter ever reach to someone, the Young Commandant however decide to reply back to the letters They both ended up having conversation with their personal life, and as time goes on both of them realize that they actually loved each other, they even want to eventually meet each other, although unfortunately their line of work makes it hard One day, when Selena is about to finish "The Tempest" she asked if she can even create tragedy event, the Young Commandant of course encouraged her that she does not need to be afraid on what she makes, after that she then invited them to the day of when her play will be played Unfortunately however, the Young Commandant didnt arrived to her play, and whats worse is while her play WAS a succes, 1 Soldier HEAVILY criticize her work for making War look like its something that is easy to face when in reality its much worse And from then on, everything just go downhill The girl then filled with many guilt that she thinks she accidently insulted people who fought in the war, then decide that she would sacrifice her humanity to become a Construct a Machine with Human Mind and starts trying to understand what "Tragedy" really is, on the other hand the Young Commandant was trying to find her only to find said letter of her wanting to join the war alongside them And.... she did find tragedy.... a tragedy that break her mind and body because her team was not only ambushed by a unexpected attack, but also left abandoned since the headquarters lost signal with them when in reality the headquarters were being tricked by said ambusher, she eventually meet the Young Commandant who is now a Elite Commandant of Gray Raven, however she was no longer recognizeable to look Humanoid and almost killed each other And after that, she is now wandering the world aimlessly, with broken body, and completely forgetting who she is And yet, the love between her and the Young Commandant, still exist
