Beautiful. Visually, that's exactly the kind of biscuits that I've been wanting to make. I've made a few batches from a recipe on a different channel's video, but they don't quite pass the eye test. Not sure if it's the recipe, or me. Might be me, because it would take them about an hour to bake, and come out looking more like smooth dinner rolls.. Trial and error for me.

Those look like delicious biscuits. In Louisiana, that's not what we call 'cathead biscuits'. Part of what makes a cathead biscuit a 'cathead' is not merely its size, it is cooking them next to each other in a skillet. If you look online, you'll find plenty of pictures of cathead biscuits and they actually have somewhat the shape of a cat's head because of their being nestled next to each other in a circle.

I can’t say you’re wrong! I thought it an interesting aside that just a nice round biscuit, especially cut biscuits, don’t have the shape that I’ve always heard associated with cat heads like making them against each other in a skillet. I bet yours are delicious!

Agreed. If you're not cooking these biscuits in a skillet to obtain that cathead shape, then they are not cathead biscuits.

You could freeze half after baking and pull them out and reheat in the microwave. Or you could try freezing the dough in individual biscuits, thawing and then baking. You might do the egg wash then instead of before freezing and you might need to roll them in a little flour before the egg wash too due to freezing. Fresh is always better though. Let us know!
