The Feast of the Immaculate Conception on the 8th December is a very important day of prayer in the Catholic Church. The Pope probably has prior engagements. We can all pray that the rebuilding of Notre Dame will be the start for the regeneration of the French and European Christian culture and church. 🙏

As a California resident all of my life (60 yrs), and having been in the Bay Area, So Cal, and many other regions, I have seen the results of disastrous policies here in this state. And in my home town o f Fresno, homelessness, is more of a result of the drug culture than anything else. Gavin Newsom has been harmful to Cali on such a significant scale. He was a lawless mayor of SF; and he is a lawless governor. He is not fit to be considered a candidate for POTUS. "He is a narcissistic, little playboy who has never solved a real problem. He wants to preen for the cameras, but he has done so much to destroy the state that he pretends to govern." Well said, Douglas! Gavin may be attractive and charismatic, but he is a dangerous and disastrous leader. Leave it to the Democrat party to possibly run him as a candidate -- just as they did Kamala Harris. And, may the people of the United States of America be heard again, if that should happen.

He used my hometown as his little play ground too. They turned the Napa Valley into a den of vipers. I'm up north near Mt. Shasta....in Siskiyou County. We consider ourselves separate from California (The Great State of Jefferson) because we are not adequately represented up here in the Senate. We lean right because historically this area is cattle ranchers, farm and self sufficient people. However since my generation didn't have children Gen X or Y and Z, they are flooding they area with migrants and the drug cartels have sent their people in to occupy and grow drugs on BLM land. No strong white males to hold the line. Some of the boomer liberal ranchers sell them water and local businesses sell to them because they do not want to be considered racist. So team Caucasian loses this round of the hunger games!! Next time we shouldn't take loans or watch porn-instead we should have had children and led a clean life.

Notre Dame have a contemporary look and feel so that everyone can relate to that 12th century monument to the Catholic faith. Some architecture historians are not impressed with the "modernised slant".
