The world wouldn't stop if I didn't give my comment (# 146 ! ) but this pretty much made my day awesome jazz-wisely. Everybody's on the ball here. The trombone and sax were boss and Ms. Russell -- as has been noted -- is just so clear and bright. They're puttin' on a clinic kids! (I appreciate the maturity of this band which probably contributes to the great groove.) I was kind of meh to this song until now. Now I have some motivation to learn it and copy them ! 🤭

A good rendition of a fabulous composition. The darkness of tone and lyrics guarantee grown up interpretation. My favourite vocal rendition is Betty Carter and Ray Charles, and instrumental version is Chet Baker, but please never forget the guys who wrote it !
