Good morning everyone! This video was filmed before the devastating flooding in the greater Yellowstone area. My thoughts and prayers go out to all those affected. It is heartbreaking to see the damage that occurred shortly after my visit. 🙏❤️🙏

Yes, tragedy indeed. I hate to be selfish at this time, but I really wonder if I will ever get to experience Yellowstone in my lifetime. Not able to access these areas. I’m guessing probably not. I’m also thinking it will give the area some time to heal from all the tourism. Sometimes mother nature knows best. All that aside… Yes I hope everybody as well as the animals are safe and unharmed. 🙏💙

My Grandfather helped build the Flaming Gorge dam. There are dozens of men that were buried alive while constructing the Dam. FYI my Great grandfather was among the first settlers in the Uintah basin area. South of Flaming Gorge. Roosevelt, Vernal, Duchesne area. He owned the first sawmill. All the original homes and churches there are built with wood donated by my great Grandfather.

Beautiful video, Cat. Dan's drone footage adds a lot. I've been through Flaming Gorge several times, but the scenery never gets old. Although it is for the wrong reason, I am so thankful to not be in MT. If I had gone by my plan, I would have been around Billings or Red Lodge at the time of the flood. No way to know how I would have been impacted, but it wouldn't be good. I certainly feel for the people of southern MT at this time.
