Very clear, nice pace, will adapt for doing the kind of pockets where only one pocket piece is sewn to front, and topstitched in place from outside. Perfect for my current project. Thanks!
@CatherineSews4 жыл бұрын
Nice to hear! Yes, you could absolutely adapt it to the kind if pocket you're talking about. Let me know how it goes!

To elaborate on a comment I left on a previous video, I commonly have problems with inseam pockets wrinkling and flopping around inside my garments. To eliminate this, I’d love to learn the best way to to topstitch the entire pocket to the garment, and in this case would I be able to achieve this with a one layer pocket? Thank you again for all of your content!!!
@CatherineSews2 жыл бұрын
Yes! That's probably the best reason to use the one-layer technique.
@sydneyjones79763 жыл бұрын
Great video, thx :) Wondering if this method would work if I am looking to topstitch my pocket at 1/4"..?
@CatherineSews3 жыл бұрын
Yes, you can topstitch at whatever width you like, but you want to pivot and come back to the pocket opening neatly at the top and bottom, just so your topstitch is visually connected and not floating. The bartacks would connect nicely with a 1/4" topstitch, so that should work nicely!
