Ummm no. You ‘missed’ the second commandment where God tells us no to make any graven image and bow down to it. When Moses came down the mountain from receiving the commandments, what were they doing…bowing down and worshiping a golden calf they had made.

So the RCC took out thou shall not worship graven images. Commandment 2 because they do worship the created they do worship Mary they worship the rosary they worship Saint Theresa, Saint Andrew,a lot of people who were created …..we are only supposed to worship the Creator…..wake up RCC you’re being taught false doctrine! You’re adding to God’s Holy Commandments. Also so the RCC still has 10 commandments they break up and make nine and 10 two Commandments when it was only one. Please holy holy God wake up the RCC they are doomed to hell if they don’t get this doctrine correctly. God help us. John3:16

@@victorscarpulla2478 the second commandment falls under the the first commandment, if you cannot have any false gods before you, obviously statues of idols gods should not be made. there is actually 14 commandments. there is no 10 commandments in the bible, there is 14 if you count them properly. so they split though shall not covet your neighbours goods and though shall not covet your neighbours wife.

The Catholic version omitted the 2nd commandment and they split the 10th commandment into two to make up for the 2nd commandment they purposely omitted. Here's the complete 10 Commandments from the Bible (Exodus 20:3-17): 1) You shall have no other gods before Me. 2) You shall not make for yourself a carved image-any likeness of anything that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth; you shall not bow down to them nor serve them. For I, the Lord your God, am a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children to the third and fourth generations of those who hate Me, but showing mercy to thousands, to those who love Me and keep My commandments. 3) You shall not take the name of the Lord your God in vain, for the Lord will not hold him guiltless who takes His name in vain. 4) Remember the Sabbath day, to keep it holy. Six days you shall labor and do all your work, but the seventh day is the Sabbath of the Lord your God. In it you shall do no work: you, nor your son, nor your daughter, nor your male servant, nor your female servant, nor your cattle, nor your stranger who is within your gates. For in six days the Lord made the heavens and the earth, the sea, and all that is in them, and rested the seventh day. Therefore the Lord blessed the Sabbath day and hallowed it. 5) Honor your father and your mother, that your days may be long upon the land which the Lord your God is giving you. 6) You shall not murder. 7) You shall not commit adultery. 8) You shall not steal. 9) You shall not bear false witness against your neighbor. 10) You shall not covet your neighbor’s house; you shall not covet your neighbor’s wife, nor his male servant, nor his female servant, nor his ox, nor his donkey, nor anything that is your neighbor’s.

The Catholics remove the second commandment which is You shall not make for yourself a carved image, or any likeness of anything that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth. You shall not bow down to them or serve them, for I the LORD your God am a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers on the children to the third and the fourth generation of those who hate me, but showing steadfast love to thousands of those who love me and keep my commandments” (Exodus 20:4; Deuteronomy 5:8). I grew up Roman Catholic and always knew in my spirit it felt very wrong to pray kneeling to the statues. Praise God He showed me the truth.

The key to understanding the relationship between the Christian and the Law is knowing that the Old Testament law was given to the nation of Israel, not to Christians. Some of the laws were to reveal to the Israelites how to obey and please God (the Ten Commandments, for example). Some of the laws were to show the Israelites how to worship God and atone for sin (the sacrificial system). Some of the laws were intended to make the Israelites distinct from other nations (the food and clothing rules). None of the Old Testament law is binding on Christians today. When Jesus died on the cross, He put an end to the Old Testament law (Romans 10:4; Galatians 3:23-25; Ephesians 2:15). In place of the Old Testament law, Christians are under the law of Christ (Galatians 6:2), which is to “love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind…and to love your neighbor as yourself” (Matthew 22:37-39). If we obey those two commands, we will be fulfilling all that Christ requires of us: “All the Law and the Prophets hang on these two commandments” (Matthew 22:40). Now, this does not mean the Old Testament law is irrelevant today. Many of the commands in the Old Testament law fall into the categories of “loving God” and “loving your neighbor.” The Old Testament law can be a good guidepost for knowing how to love God and knowing what goes into loving your neighbor. At the same time, to say that the Old Testament law applies to Christians today is incorrect. The Old Testament law is a unit (James 2:10). Either all of it applies, or none of it applies. If Christ fulfilled some of it, such as the sacrificial system, He fulfilled all of it. “This is love for God: to obey his commands. And his commands are not burdensome” (1 John 5:3). The Ten Commandments were essentially a summary of the entire Old Testament law. Nine of the Ten Commandments are clearly repeated in the New Testament (all except the command to observe the Sabbath day). Obviously, if we are loving God, we will not be worshiping false gods or bowing down before idols. If we are loving our neighbors, we will not be murdering them, lying to them, committing adultery against them, or coveting what belongs to them. The purpose of the Old Testament law is to convict people of our inability to keep the law and point us to our need for Jesus Christ as Savior (Romans 7:7-9; Galatians 3:24). The Old Testament law was never intended by God to be the universal law for all people for all of time. We are to love God and love our neighbors. If we obey those two commands faithfully, we will be upholding all that God requires of us.

Mattew 24:36 36 “Concerning that day and hour nobody knows,neither the angels of the heavens nor the Son, but only the Father. Mattew 23:8-10 8 But be not ye called teachers. for one is your Teacher, even Christ. 9 You are all brothers. And call no man father upon the earth. for one is Father, which is in heaven.10 And be not ye called masters. for one is your Master, even Christ.... “YOU must not let people call you ‘leaders’-you have only one leader, Christ!” (Matthew 23:10, The New Testament) With these words, Jesus made it plain to his followers that no man on earth would be their leader. Their one Leader would be heavenly-Jesus Christ himself. Jesus holds this position by divine appointment.. Jehovah “raised him up from the dead and . . . made him head over all things to the congregation, which is his body.”-Ephesians 1:20-23. 2 Since Christ is “head over all things” with regard to the Christian congregation, he exercises his authority over all that takes place within the congregation. Nothing that occurs within the congregation escapes his notice. He closely observes the spiritual condition of each group of Christians, or congregation. This is clearly apparent in the revelation given to the apostle John at the end of the first century C.E. To seven congregations, Jesus stated five times that he knew their deeds, their strong points, and their weaknesses, and he gave counsel and encouragement accordingly. (Revelation 2:2, 9, 13, 19; 3:1, 8, 15) There is every reason to believe that Christ was equally familiar with the spiritual condition of other congregations in Asia Minor, Palestine, Syria, Babylonia, Greece, Italy, and elsewhere. So, the Catholic church now says the "Lords day" that the church proclaims to be sunday is not the sabbath. This person Friar Clemente is saying that sunday is the Catholic churches sabbath @ around 2:10 so the church, according to him, did change the sabbath from saturday to sunday. Which is it church? If you do not proclaim sunday to be your sabbath your entire church body is violating your own second third commandment. You can't just delete the second commandment on graven images. There is a difference between graven images and idols. The Catholic church deleted this commandment because the churches are filled with graven images. You also can't just take it upon yourself to abridge the 4th sabbath commandment. Every thing that is in that commandment is what God wrote and He wrote it all out for His purpose. You also can't split the covet commandment into 2 to make up for what you deleted. God Himself chiseled out the 10 commandments in tablets of stone for Moses. You simply can not go about to delete, re-write, modify or in any way alter the 10 commandments of God.

This true if you still follow the Torah. Disciples of Jesus celebrate the Sabbath on the resurrection day, which is Sunday. Anyone who subscribes to the Torah should celebrate Sabbath as you mentioned, but Jesus ratified a new law on the Cross. This is why Disciples of Jesus celebrate the Sabbath on Sunday, the resurrection day.
@3angelsmessages7532 жыл бұрын
@@fr.dominicclemente1943 Jesus never sanctified Sunday, Sabbath keeping is not a Jewish thing being that it was established back in eden before there was a jew. Jesus even kept the sabbath during His ministry and even during His death and His disciples even kept the sabbath after He went back to heaven....Sunday is a false day of worship( its sun worship). God's day that He blessed and sanctified is Saturday. The only thing that was nailed to the cross was the sacrificial/ceremonial laws..Jesus did not make Sunday the new day we are suppose to worship on.
