I would love to see a review of the Credo prayer book! It’s by the Thomistic Institute and originally meant for new converts. I think it’s new? I can’t find many reviews online.

Never heard of it, but I will look to see if it’s worthwhile

Any books you might recommend to a Traditional Catholic? I'm expanding my collection of books and I'd love your advice on a stunning prayer book. I already have the Angelus Press 1962 daily missal, so i think I'm pretty covered for now. Any prayer books you might recommend? I don't mind Catholic or Orthodox! Thanks a lot!

I have a lot of reviews on traditional Catholic prayerbooks. I would recommend taking a look at Blessed Be God, Key of Heaven (ebay might have copies), or TAN's Manual of Prayers for Catholic Laity. If you want a good breviary style book you can get Little Office of Baltimore or Divine Office by Angelus Press

I wonder would you be able to review ‘Catholica The Visual Culture Of Catholicism’ by Suzanna Ivanic & published in April of 2022 by Thames & Hudson Ltd please? It looks to be a very beautiful book but I can’t see any reviews for it where we can see inside it, which I find rather surprising. Thank you in anticipation 🙏🏼 🕊️ ❤️

I think TAN Books has a similar prayer book? The one you have looks really cool!

The TAN book "A Manual of Prayers: For the Use of the Catholic Laity" is a product of the Council of Baltimore and was first published in 1889. The TAN book is in English and Latin and the included ordinary and the proper are for the Tridentine Mass. It is decidedly a traditional prayer book. The Midwest Theological Forum offering is a product of this century, and so they have differences which are important. However the book under review has a good selection of prayers in Latin. This is an interesting choice on their part. The further inclusion of Spanish and Italian prayers is a reflection of the large number of Spanish speaking Catholics in the United States, while Italian is good for the seminarians who wrote the book. Rome is the home of the Latin Church. French and German prayers are also included. Both books have a wealth of good content. One other difference is that the older book is at least 200 pages longer! The James Socias prayer book (reviewed in an earlier video), because it has the Novus Ordo order of Mass in Latin and English has an advantage.

The TAN book is, as the other comments suggest, is pre Vatican II and even more extensive/expensive

You're flipping through so many pages so fast, we don't get to see what's in the rest of the contents of the book. Who is the author?
@PadraigTomas7 ай бұрын
The publisher has a preview of the book available which includes the table of contents.

If I showed every page in detail no one would buy the book amd the video would be much longer. There is no author persay. As I said, it is put out by the Midwest Theological Forum and the NAC
