What is the miracle? I couldn’t figure out from this report what they are saying happened. So I don’t know if I should rebuke it or not. When I was a pastor, one Sunday I preached my favorite sermon and after the service, I called a woman up for prayer. I knew her for a couple years prior. She was young, mentally sound, strong of faith, and physically healthy, but just after she’d gotten married, she had a crippling stroke. I felt so sad seeing people carry Joan into the Church and her inability to speak, that I called her up for prayer. I called up the church elders and we gently anointed her head, made a cross, on her forehead with blessed holy oil (I blessed and sanctified it previously). God told me a special word for her, when I spoke it aloud, she began to cry. As she cried, we all felt as if water was poured down from Heaven. She exclaimed: “Oh my God,” three times, and before our eyes, to all of our astonishment, she was completely and totally healed. She walked out of the Church herself, completely recovered after a couple months of being crippled, disfigured, and mute by the stroke. Now this is only one of many such miracles that I have been blessed to experience. So I know they do happen, they can happen, but they are rare. (Most of all those “miracle based” churches with their fake “signs and wonders” are frauds, and they do it to scam money out of people. Turning a bread wafer into flesh and then consuming human flesh would be a major sin and God would NEVER do something like that. Jesus didn’t advocate for that, He was advocating for communal commemoration not cannibalism.

We had a mini miracle happen at our Church event celebrating Our Lady of Guadalupe. My family of 4 was very broke and we only had $5 to buy a plate of food. A vendor just called us and told us “Here’s your plate.” It was a plate full of 6 tacos. When we were going to give him our $5 he said “No, that’s alright. Just take it.” We used the $5 to buy drinks instead. That 6-taco plate would have been at least $12. We all felt like it was a mini-miracle. At the time we were literally stretching every dollar and living paycheck to paycheck. It was hard times for us.

My mom cleaned our local Catholic Church for years. She is now 82 so no longer does it. It was a group of ladies that would go every Friday morning at 6:00am. Unfortunately it was not uncommon to find pieces of the host on the floor or on the benches as they cleaned and swept. What they would do was pick up the pieces and place them in a container full of water and place it in the sink. ( The sink in the sacristy that does not have a drain). One morning they did as always with a piece they found. Half a host in the shape of the moon. Later two ladies returned and noticed a smell. They couldn’t figure out where the smell was coming from. Much to their surprise they noticed it was coming from the sink. When they opened the lid of the container they saw in the corner of the host had turned into flesh and spots of blood. Unfortunately much to the regret of these ladies they took it to the parish office and gave it to the parish secretary. Never to know what happened to that host that turned into flesh and blood. My mom did not witness this. One of my mom’s best friends was the one in charge and one of the ladies that witnessed this. This was 15 to 20 years ago. A much more naive time with much more trust in church authority. My mom’s friend now cries with regret that she didn’t give that bleeding host to someone else other than the parish secretary. Who knows what she did with it? So miracles do happen. As for me and my mom and all the parish cleaning ladies know about a Eucharist miracle that happened in Southern California. I went to Italy in 1998 and saw a Eucharist miracle from hundreds of years ago. So I don’t know exactly when this one in California happened but I will say about the early 2000’s, but I am just speculating because it happened after my trip to Italy. I thought about it a bit. I will not give the name of the parish but will say that this Eucharist miracle happened in the Diocese of San Diego.

ALL psychos? all willing and even joyfully accepting death because of their faith, to then claim what they died for to be false? take the holocaust for example, which resulted in the deaths of 6million poor jewish lives, compare this to many studies of which have suggested that the number of Christians killed and tortured for their faith is in upwards of 60~ million. here is a link of some of the most famous martyrs (some named saints) en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_Christian_martyrs. 2) we can observe two things about our universe, 1) it is finite, and 2) it is always in motion. now, every moving things needs a mover, since nothing in motion can be in motion of its own accord, this first mover, we believe to be God. now you may be wondering, "who then created God, who MOVED God"? this is explained easily in (again) 2 ways, 1) God exists outside of our natural realm, and is hence not bound to it (meaning it needs no mover), and 2) for every creator of God, there needs to be a creator of the creator which can go onto infinity, but this poses a problem, we've already established that the universe is finite (as seen by the big bang theory, founded by a catholic priest fyi), so God having a creator goes against the very laws of our universe, either God has a creator, or the universe is infinite (therefore destroying the big bang theory). here are two 'simple' proofs for the existence of God, i recommend you take the time to read them, if you're actually interested in being proven wrong and not just acting all proud in thinking you're right. i hope that one day you, and the rest of the world discover truth, it changed me, and it will change you. Miracles absolutely do happen, when I was two a giant metal gate weighing almost 500 lbs fell on me, within seconds my 7 year old cousin managed to pull it off me. Not only did I survive completely injury free, but it's crazy that a seven year old was able to do that.

For those who were wondering what the miracle was: The miracle was the duplication of communion hosts (the Eucharist) in the ciborium (cup). The Eucharistic Minister was running out of hosts, and was getting ready to replenish the ciborium when they discovered that there were more hosts in the ciborium. And at the end of communion had the same starting amount, if not more in the ciborium. So if you have 100 hosts in the ciborium, give communion to 100 people, you should not return with 100 hosts. This wasn't just one or two hosts, it was a full ciborium. While not a "flashy" miracle to some, it's important for a number of reasons: 1. It cements the Catholic belief in the Real Presence of Jesus in the Eucharist. 2. It mirrors the multiplication of the loaves and fishes to feed the crowds in the Gospels (Matthew 14:13-21, Mark 6:31-44, Luke 9:12-17, John 6:1-14) 3. It comes at a time where there is a growing disagreement among members of the Catholic Church about the role of Eucharistic Ministers. Some Catholics do not approve of the use of Eucharistic Ministers, who are lay members given the task of distributing communion. They believe that the Eucharist should only be distributed by the priest or deacon. But often EMs are needed because of a shortage of priests and deacons, or because in large congregations, communion would take too long to distribute. In this case, the miracle happened to a Eucharistic Minister who was substituting for the priest who had an injury to his hand. 4. It could potentially pave the way to Sainthood for Blessed Michael McGivney, founder of the parish and founder of the major Catholic organization Knights of Columbus, though the Church would need evidence that someone prayed for him specifically to assist in some way at that moment.

I was able to have 5 children after being told I couldn't have children. I carried my twins on an abrupted placenta that went undetected until I was induced for labor.
