I fasted on last Wednesday and Friday and received many graces. Only 3 pieces of bread and water in 24 hours. Can’t wait to do again this Wednesday and Friday😊

I have been doing this for a few months now since i saw Sister Emmanuel Maillard's video on fasting. I have found it a good thing to do. Usually i have sourdough or spelt bread if i can find it. It is important to pray as well on these days with an hour of power on the Thursday in between.

that's what I do as well. I try to pick a bread that has more nutrients in it than a grocery store-bought bread. Also, I see no temptations that were obvious on days not fasting. Very interesting. What age bracket are you.? I'm 58 but I ask because I have a 20 and 22-year old that it seems impossible for them to try. Ad Jesum per Mariam

@@pamelamalmgren4001 I am pushing 50, but i have fasted in different ways since i was in my teens. I was in my early 30s before i would fast for long periods of time. However, i have never done a Daniel fast. When people ask me about fasting and where to start, i suggest abstaining from just one meal and praying or one type of food like meat for a week and praying. If fasting with food is too much for you someone, how about giving up TV for a week and praying instead?

I love Gospa😍. I love Medjugorje. I learned that we should walk by faith not by sight. Blessed are those who believe but they do not see. Not all can understand God's Eternal Word and that is why this "fasting" topic is hard for them to comprehend. We care so much about our body but our soul is dying inside.

Thanks you, I love fasting because I feel closer to God n I feel so peace.when im fasting I feel,free n not worry with anything n I have more energy .why people scare about fasting. I met Fr. Slavko in 1988 as a teenaged girl who has a wheat allergy. Now, every third person it seems is "gluten free". Back then, people rolled their eyes at the idea of being allergic to wheat. So, I asked Our Lady, "Show me Holy Fasting as a person with food allergies." She showed me the following: To deny all the foods I am allergic to, I am taking good care of the physical body Jesus has given me in this world. So, to stay healthy and not introduce "drama" into my life by eating allergens to gain attention, this is maturity. To fast with perhaps a simple uncooked apple, or salad since I can not eat bread, this is still hunger producing. This is still fasting. I can offer any sacrifice to Our Lady, and She will teach me how to make this gift "just right" to present to Her Son, My Lord, Jesus. Remember, Jesus only wants from us what we can give. If we don't have it to give, He won't ask for it. I don't have bread to give you, Sweet Jesus. What do I have to offer you? And Jesus will show you, just as the "Little Drummer Boy" was shown what he could give.

Fast on water and salt water…. I have only done it for five days my first time, but the truth fast is no bread/ food at all, and many do this as well.

I want to ask - I fast bread/water- is it okay to drink pedialite on these days? I take a medication that depletes my electrolytes and it seems to help with muscle cramping in my legs and feet. Please advise.

If you have any health related issues, do what is necessary to take care of yourself. Father Slavko mentioned this exact concern in his talk. God is not asking anyone to avoid proper medical care that includes intake of certain nutrition to stay healthy.

I too take medication that I need to eat. I'm going to take important medicines and monitor my body for medication ajustments like my sugar levels. If that plan works for you now do it. Who knows you may stop later. prayers 🙏
